Product Information

A standard weapon for Zaku type mobile suits. It is a shell firing gun that does not require energy to be used, however its effectiveness against heavy armor is very limited. This model used a 100-round drum magazine. A weapon originally used by the MS-09B Dom. The bazooka is fed by a 10 rounds magazine and is capable of destroying most mobile suits in a single hit. It can also inflict heavy damage to warships. The MS-07B Gouf's regular left manipulator is replaced by a five-barrel 75mm machine gun shaped like enlarged fingers. It fires physical rounds at a rapid rate, and despite its bulky and awkward appearance, its barrels demonstrate limited degree of digital dexterity, including the ability to hold the shield, and to adequately grip the heat sword and various firearms. Some Goufs were fielded with two 5-barrel 75mm Machine Guns, while others were fitted with two regular manipulators instead. The Gatling shield is combination of a Gatling gun with a modified MS-07B Gouf shield, and grants both offensive and defensive power in one single weapon. The shield also stores the Gouf Custom's heat sword, and can be mounted directly on the left forearm or on top of the 3-barrel 35mm Machine Gun. September 2nd is officially recognized as "Gouf Day" [1] due to numbers 9 and 2 sounding like グ and フ respectively. [2]

A new model machine gun with enhanced firepower to combat Federation Forces MS. Early type and late type models exist, with differences in the location and mounting of the grip on the latter. In addition to the regular machine gun bullets fed from the drum magazine, the MMP-78 is also capable of firing anti-aircraft rounds being fed from a smaller, box-type magazine. Objective Grabber: The Gouf is the single fastest suit at 250 points. This persists until the Doms start to become available at 300, and even then the Gouf remains above-average. With Hi-Spec Cruise Control, it can keep pace with a Dom at 400 points. Because of this, Goufs are really good at capping points; your sheer speed will often let you get in - and out - better than the pokier members of your team. Given how you will tend to be a fire magnet, this is doubly important since the closer you are to the battle line, the more you can help out after a respawn. An absolute monster of a close-combat weapon, the Gouf's Heat Sword is one of the most powerful melee weapons in its class, behind only the most powerful melee weapons in the entire game in terms of raw damage. Throw in it decent reach and the fact that it's on a suit with Melee Combo Controller 2 and a viciously high melee boost, and you have a weapon that effectively will pay for itself the second you land a combo string. The weapon is also used by the Zaku I GS, so any upgrades you buy for your Gouf can also apply there.

Players will know when they triggered this encounter when they venture into an open-ended optional part of the map that paints the whole screen in a bright orange-ish color for a second and Juno and/or Sakura will start talking about how a new type of enemy has appeared. Defeating the higher-leveled foe(s) in this new fight has a chance to drop new blueprints that are necessary to completing the development of a playable Mobile Suit. Initially used by the ZGMF-1017 GINN, it is similar in design to a bazooka, and can fire various types of rounds depending to the magazine used. It is used by GOUF Ignited when heavier firepower is required. History [ ] Melee Combo Controller Lv2: Allows the Gouf's Heat Sword to do 3-hit combos. The Heat Rod can still only swing once. Lets you do serious damage in close-combat. Poor Beam Defense: The Gouf has average armor for tier but high health. Unfortunately one stat that isn't terribly high on it is its beam weapon defense. The Gouf is very vulnerable to beam weapons and needs to beware the Gundam Ground line of suits, and the Gelgoog in particular. While not very big or strong, the humble Gouf Shield can save your life. More than once I braced for impact on what I was sure was going to be a deathblow from a Dom High-Speed Experimental Type, only for their finishing blow to take out the shield and do nothing else. Other times I've walked into an area only for a sniper to take out the shield and give me a chance to get away.

It also stores a Heat Sword Type D III, and can be mounted directly on the left forearm or on top of the 35mm Gatling Gun. The Gouf will never have the problem of a whiffed Heat Rod stab that the other Heat Rods do; directional swing alone means you're going to hit if the enemy is in range, and if the enemy is remotely in the AOE of the downswing, they're going down.

The coil-like heat rod is replaced with a magnetic grappler wire that connects and disables an enemy with an electric charge rather than damaging them. The grappler wire could also be used as a repelling line that could slow or even halt the descent of a falling Gouf in the right conditions. The shield of the Gouf was modified so that it not only stored the Gouf's heat sword but is also capable of carrying a 75mm gatling gun, greatly enhancing the mobile suit's fire power.

No Painting Required

Due to the Gouf's relatively wide window of use, a maxed-out Gouf shield has 3500 HP, making it roughly as strong at Lv4 as an entry-level Commando shield, so it's tougher than it looks. Maneuver Armor Level Lv1: While boosting, incoming stun effects by ranged weapons (not melee) are reduced by one stage. Heavy Stun becomes regular stun and Regular Stun will be outright ignored. Howver, this only happens when actively boosting; it does not work during the startup or end of your boosting animation. Correct use of this is critical to surviving as a Gouf in open terrain fights. Multi-hit weapons (shotguns, machine guns) will still stun you, as will direct hits from cannons and heavy weapons.
