About this deal

Each was written for a specific recipient, based on three things they guaranteed would make them feel happy. I received a wonderful range of briefs. From the beautifully universal – a longing for nature and freedom, time spent with family, summers spent in other lands – to the gloriously specific – snaffling a Toffee Crisp from the fridge late at night, Fleetwood Mac songs, making the perfect scrambled eggs, and Ceilidh dancing. So along with Sandy and his dog Oliver (who just happens to be highly educated and talks), they roam the land, visiting mage fairs. Trying to stay out of mischief and out of sight of the Emperor. But things are about to change.

These secondary colors uniquely fuse dimensions of primacy colors to represent nuanced aspects of hope. Color Red is a warm color associated with passion, love, anger and heightened emotions. It’s easy to see why—blood is red and when our hearts are pounding and our emotions are soaring sky high, that red hue is often visible through our skin. Red is primal; red can be dangerous. Think of alarms, stop signs, rising temperatures and rising tensions.

About Ross MacKenzie

Thank you, Lord, that it fell to my lot to endure the rigors of prison transport, to hide poetry and books from the KGB, to languish in punishment cells and to starve. Green: Seek Forests and Parks for Hope Purple – Purple mixes red’s passion and vigor with blue’s calm and stability. Besides sunshine, yellow exists in plenty of plants and trees in nature. Many trees turn yellow in fall, as the seasons change and leaves prepare to drop before wintertime. There are also multiple types of wildflowers and garden flowers that are yellow. If you have any local botanical gardens or rose gardens in your area, taking a meditative walk through these locations may help you feel more hopeful! Hope is Out There in Nature! I don’t know about colour association, but I think a term for being jealous in China is “drinking vinegar”, which is a great analogy. ChiantiRioja

In Italy too we say green out of envy: “ verde dall’invidia”. We also say “ verde come la bile” (green like bile) and that explains why green: the bile is green, and has to do with anger. Anna Brancaleon When we think of nature, chances are high that we think of the color green first and foremost. Fewer things are more inspiring than seeing a new sprout or plant growing in a location that seems barren or uninhabitable. There is a relentless feeling to the color green, given its connection to the natural world around us and how it can’t help but persist. Grey is the Color of Hope stands out as one of the most searingly honest depiction of humanity I've ever read. Irina Ratushinskaya's memoir unpretentiously recounts her time served as a political prisoner in a Soviet labor camp for women. A human rights activist and poet, Irina was convicted of, " agitation carried on for the purpose of subverting or weakening the Soviet regime," and in 1983 was sentenced to seven years of labor camp and five years internal exile. It's as magical as it is original; infused with a glittering rainbow of strange enchantments, colourful characters, and brave hearts' - Thomas Taylor Orange can feel like youthful zest, so it’s a popular color for brands that appeal to children. It combines the warmth and heat of red with the playfulness and joy of yellow. Beyond this, it’s a great choice for really any brand that aims to exude a sense of energy or intensity. When orange is muted, it can feel autumnal, which makes it perfect for any brand leaning into an earthy color palette. Using orange in design The green of first kisses, the first time I fell.
