About this deal

A DC power adapter input. Only problem being that the DC adapter is sold separately, as you’ll be regularly draining batteries. With BOSS’s decades of research in energy efficient design, the Katana Mini is able to provide incredible, class-defying power using only six AA-size batteries. All you need to do is set the delay time to zero and crank the level to near-full. Technically, this is a rapid echo that goes on for a long time, but it sounds very similar to reverb.

Please Note: The Boss Katana Mini does not come with a mains power supply, the recommended power supply is the RolandPSB-1U. It uses plastic everywhere without any fancy appointments. The only off-center addition being a couple of thin plastic strips and the “Boss” logo on the front.different amp types: Clean, Crunch, and Brown (read ‘Distortion’). A single 3-way switch is provided to change between the amp settings. Rechargeable Ni-MH battery: Approximately 9 hours (When using batteries having a capacity of 2500 mAh.) AC adaptor (sold separately) Current Draw 350 mA Expected battery life under continuous use Alkaline battery: Approximately 7 hours There’s nothing better on the market right now in this price range that even remotely interests me. Just but the damn thing…everyone needs one!

Katana-Mini, bringing the incredible sound and feel you get from the BOSS Katana amps and fitting it in a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. Boss Katana Portable Mini Amp Boss claims that the battery on the Katana Mini lasts for about 7 hours. In my testing batteries lasted 6-8 hours. I have heard a lot about Katana's, so I gave this guy a try when I was looking for a practice amp for a small apartment. I was a great surprise!! I could not be more happy. It has a really nice clear sound, and great volume. But what surprised me it was the overdriven sounds. For low volumes, it truly delivers a nice round warm overdriven sound, that makes you enjoy practicing. Its really simple to use, and even have some on-board effects for even more fun while playing. Most small practice amps will have a 2-channels that are barely useable. The Katana mini has 3 stunning channels that give you a lovely clean, a hearty overdrive and the all-out Brown Sound for mega gain. That means you can practice any style of music from Jazz to Heavy Metal if you wanted to.The Boss Katana Mini only has a single effect – Delay, and it has two controls for the effect: Time and Level.

The Boss Katana-Mini amp has all-analog input circuitry, with multiple gain stages that drive three classic sound settings, giving you the same cascaded gain you’d expect in high-end amp designs. The addition of a basic delay is what makes this amp is nifty to practice with. It gives your tone a little bit more space and makes it that much more pleasing to the ear - especially when you're practicing those Van Halen runs on the Brown channel. From Home To Hotel

This can vary depending on the capacity of the batteries and the conditions of use. Accessories Owner's manual The build and make of this amp is superb. It’s not made out of metal but the darn thing feels sturdy like something we would have played with as kids in the 80s…and I still have toys that survived like this. Personally, I think it’s simplicity makes it look like a mean little machine. I mean it looks like it means business…feels that way too. Yes, reverb on its own would have been nice, but you have to be at peace with what we have here. But well, there is no dedicated reverb module, but you can get a reverb-like effect by dialing the delay knobs to certain values.
