In 2015, a spin-off series for tweens launched. Mia's half-sister Olivia made her debut in From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess, released in May 2015. The new book in the Princess Diaries series, The Quarantine Princess Diaries, was published in March 2023. Aah well. Another Princess Diaries book. I honestly expected Forever Princess to be the last one, as it gave a nice closure to each and every character. But I wasn't going to complain over another Princess Diaries, one of my favourites growing up. It was supposed to be a pleasant, magical trip down memory lane..Which it wasn't. It was also hilarious to look at some of these characters due to spoiler purposes, and sobering too (especially if you read about a certain character’s death from the excerpt posted from Royal Wedding).

Fun Fact: Finnula has a dog with the name 'Gros Louis' which is French for 'Fat Louie' (Princess Mia's cat). The Nostalgia—I loved Meg Cabot when I was younger. She was absolutely part of my foundation as a reader. I was really excited to revisit Mia and her friends and family for this reason. But I think I remembered the books wildly differently… The Princess Diaries is a young adult series written by Meg Cabot. It’s about Mia who is the princess and heir to the throne of Genovia, a small country in Europe. But no - we have instead a goofy resolution in which Michael swoops in to save Mia as she’s trying to persuade an antivaxxer relative to see the light. The thing is, Mia’s idea was good! She brings a former antivaxxer relative, a peer of this one, to explain why Covid is a genuine threat. We all know that quoting scientific facts like Michael often doesn’t convince antivaxxers, so would it not have been more effective to both make Mia’s strategy work AND reinforce how socially and verbally intelligent she is???? I guess the goopy love declaration and the kiss at the end are supposed to do that for us!

In the 2001 Disney Movie, Lilly, portrayed by Heather Matarazzo, is portrayed as intelligent, confident, and socially conscious. Her talk show is called "Shut Up and Listen". She is then a student at Berkeley. In The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Mia appoints Lilly as her royal secretary. The vaccine in this book comes sooner than in real life, and I'm okay with that because she had to end the book somewhere. I didn't expect this to be a chronicle of the entire year and a half/two years before we went outside again in a significant way, but I did expect it to have a hopeful/happy ending and that's what we got here. I would have liked to see more Tina (ALWAYS) and Michael, but I enjoyed the update on all the characters, including Olivia, Shameka, Ling Su, and Perrin. OH. MY. GOD. It's like she's reviving all my favourite childhood series: first the Mediator, then this!!! Girls will laugh and swoon with RANSOM MY HEART. Princess Mia Thermopolis, heroine of Meg Cabot's THE PRINCESS DIARIES, pens a fun, flirty debut novel that's spiced with the occasional mishap. I'll be blunt about it I was already kind grimacy about this one before I read it. I read the blog entries and they were entertaining enough, but to make a book about COVID in general is just a little eye roll worthy. I am still detoxing from those we're all in this together commercials that blared the first half of 2020 before the PPP loans dried up and greed went out the wazoo and inflation occurred as a result.Michael's dad thought this was so hilarious, he bought dozens of copies to give to his friends and even his patients. Michael's asked him to stop, but his dad won't listen. The novel sets in the Middle Ages and it was so authentic. The language, the names and the descriptions, just everything made me feel as if I really was in the Middle Ages with the characters. You can see that Meg put a lot of research into it. Anyway, the romance part is very sweetly done. They're a loving couple with a good sense of humor, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them. Meg Cabot is an American who has done great work in writing. She is one of the most famous American authors of paranormal fiction for both adults and teens and romantic. She was born on 1st February 1967 in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Meg Cabot did her high school in Bloomington high school south and then attended the Indiana University Bloomington. She was married in 1993 to Benjamin D. Egnatz. In her career as an author, she has written about four books with Princess Diaries having both sections one and two. The other books she has written include ‘Royal Engagement’ and the ‘Ice Princess’ .Her career has also been motivated by different awards like the ‘Edgar Award for Best Young Adult’. Her famous series ‘The Princess of Diaries’ has always featured in TV shows and one of the most loved movies. You can always find these series online and get to know the whole story or watch the series of the ‘Princess Diaries’ and you will definitely love it. Meg Cabot is therefore a great and inspiring author that you should not miss reading and even watching her famous books. They are available online hence easily accessible. When they are married she is unhappy, and wants to annul it by not letting Hugo have his way with her on their wedding night (again). But wait, didnt they already to that 3 times that day. Nice try Finnula.
