About this deal

I was given this book as a gift and asked to comment on the contents. It's taken longer than I expected. There was too much Kabbalah for me; and way too much reductionist mathematics on which the central premise is built. You can steal my driver's license, but you can't steal my DNA code. You can take my car, but you can't take my code. It is my DNA code. Every living organism has a DNA code, through which people have been exonerated on death row. Been held in prison for 30 years and let go because they had the DNA code. Once they proved that it was not their DNA, you had to let them go. Are you hearing what I'm saying to you? So what I'm calling the God code is divine DNA. And Jesus says you have your Father's code when you are consistent like your Father. Praise me in the sunshine. Praise me in the rain. Praise me in your pleasure. Praise me in your pain. Praise me when things are going right. Praise me when all hell is breaking loose. The God Code explores a fascinating premise—-that there is a tangible, verifiable, and universal message planted firmly within the foundation of life—a message that may provide evidence for a higher intelligence operating behind the scenes of the phenomenal world that we all take so much for granted. Scholar Gregg Braden is to be commended, as he has opened an unprecedented window into our understanding of the great mystery of existence.” Linking the biblical alphabets of Hebrew and Arabic to modern chemistry reveals that a lost code...has lived within us all along....Translated, the message reveals that God's ancient name is encoded as the genetic information in every cell, of every life. p xiv

From their observations, MBBK created an alternative hypothesis to explain the "puzzle" of how the codes were discovered. MBBK's argument was not strictly mathematical, rather it asserted that the WRR authors and contributors had intentionally: Sherman, R. Edwin, with Jacobi and Swaney. 2005. Bible Code Bombshell Green Forest, Ar.: New Leaf Press. 95–109 Although the example shown uses English texts, Bible codes proponents usually use a Hebrew Bible text. Most Jewish proponents use only the Torah (Genesis–Deuteronomy), as it is believed to have been revealed directly to Moses. The 13th-century Spanish rabbi Bachya ben Asher may have been the first [ citation needed] to describe an ELS in the Bible. His four-letter example related to the traditional zero-point of the Hebrew calendar. Over the following centuries there are hints that the ELS technique was known, e.g. in Pardes Rimonim of the 16th century mystic Moshe Cordovero, [11] [12] but few definite examples have been found from before the middle of the 20th century. At this point many examples were found by Michael Ber Weissmandl and published by his students after his death in 1957. Nevertheless, the practice remained known to only a few until the early 1980s, when some discoveries of Israeli school teacher Avraham Oren came to the attention of the mathematician Eliyahu Rips at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Rips then took up the study together with his religious studies partners Doron Witztum and Alexander Rotenberg, among several others. Erlanger, Steven; Altman, Lawrence K. (December 14, 2003). "Arafat died from stroke linked to infection, records show / Review finds poisoning unlikely, rebuts rumor that Palestinian leader had AIDS". San Francisco Chronicle – SFGate . Retrieved May 2, 2010.In the companion History Channel series, the author travels across continents in search of artifacts missing since Bible times—clues to their location revealed in God Code. This is symptomatic of a tendency in religious thinking to relativize the nonrelative. This is ironic, of course, since in contemporary debates, it’s conservative religionists who often accuse secular and progressive people of relativism. But to claim that mathematics is a matter of opinion — surely that’s the most relativistic claim of all. Likewise, I thought to myself, the willful ignorance of the fossil record, or of carbon dating, or of linguistic evidence that conclusively establishes when sacred texts were written. These are all facts. Say what you will about science — say that the evidence is a divine trap meant to ensnare the weak of faith — but for sure it’s not a matter of opinion. Drosnin, Michael (2002). We don't know how to handle it when things are not right. We feel like God failed us when things are not right because the people who represented the Father made him sound like Santa Claus, that he just wanna give me stuff. He gonna bless you and he gonna bless you. He gonna bless you. Some of this stuff God ain't gonna bless. It's a mess. It's a mess. It's a mess. Nobody has the courage to preach the truth anymore. They're afraid of the congregation. Parents are afraid of their children. Y'all don't hear what I'm saying to you. And the kids ain't scared of nobody. It's gonna rain sometime. You're gonna go through troubles sometime. You're gonna find days you don't want to get out of the bed. You're gonna get bad news sometimes. You gonna get bad news so bad you scared to answer your own phone. God Code presents empirical evidence that the oldest Hebrew biblical texts are vastly more multifaceted and extraordinary than previously understood. When researching a mystery about his family heritage, Smith was drawn to Genesis 30:20-24. There, using an equidistant letter skip decryption method, he discovered not only his own name but also biographical information of other family members. The statistical odds of this are beyond mathematical calculation, and it was just the tip of the iceberg.
