About this deal

Conquer any road ride with the lightweight Carbon DNA rails and 3D printed cover of the Shortfit 2.0 3D Racing As we say with every saddle review on road.cc, comfort is subjective – what might be incredibly comfortable for me could be like torture for you – so it's always worth testing a few before making any purchasing decision. It isn't really fair to compare this to non-3D printed saddles, though, and among its 3D printed brethren it's quite well priced, for the weight. helping you conquer the steepest of climbs and fastest descents. The differentiated cushioning zones give Selle Italia and Selle San Marco both bring 3D-printed padding to their top SLR & Shortfit saddles, respectively. But really, we’re still impressed by the performance-to-price ratio of their more sustainable, 50% more environmentally-friendly GreenTech saddles that cost literally 1/9th the price of that SLR Boost 3D, yet are still entirely made in Italy. Plus, their IDmatch ergonomic system gets new semi-custom fit insoles to give everyone perfect arch support while pedaling. Selle Italia SLR Boost 3D-printed saddle

The new Aspide Short Open-Fit Racing takes up the unmistakable style of a great classic like the Aspide and makes it even more modern and captivating. The Aspide Short represents, in fact, the new era of Aspide, for almost 20 years one of the spearheads of the Selle San Marco house: the new 'Short' version will be the first ever with 'visible body', so as to enhance the value of the technical and stylistic details is completely new and complete. It comes in the same two widths (140mm or 155mm), and sells for 400€ as the Carbon FX with full carbon rails or around 50€ less as the Shortfit 2.0 3D Racing with titanium Stealth Xsilite rails – available from late September 2022. Selle San Marco Allroad & road colors Superlight full carbon fiber rails with oval section (9,8 mm x 7 mm) with PATENTED DNA (Dynamic Node Action) technology which prevents twisting and keeps the front of the saddle narrow for great pedalling freedom. It makes the Carbon fiber rails even stiffer and, give to the central geometry a longer section to ensure more extensive saddle adjustment. This Rails is used on Superleggera and Carbon FX saddles. An adaptor might be required with some seat posts.

Model X Leaf added to Selle Italia range

But Selle Italia suggests many more GreenTech saddles are in development. They’re cheaper & easier to make, and could theoretically work for any saddle shape in the Selle Italia portfolio. Fingers crossed for more high-performance, low-cost & eco-friendly saddles made in Italy soon! And the more off-tarmac Allroad Supercomfort gets muted earthy Desert Sage green and light Ice Gray. Selle San Marco says, "The SHORTFIT saddle was created to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists who, for certain types of training sessions or rides, rotate their bust a lot moving to a position close to the handlebars. The special ergonomic shape of this new saddle features reduced length and ensures proper support in the generous rear section and optimum pressure distribution in the front section. The saddle weighs a reasonable 190g, which is quite competitive compared with similar styles of short saddles that also have an open channel, at similar price points.

Selle San Marco’s slightly more versatile and more padded Shortfit 2.0 also gets its own 3D-printed top. Tell us what the product is for and who it's aimed at. What do the manufacturers say about it? How does that compare to your own feelings about it? So overall am I impressed by this saddle? Yes, very much so. It isn't the lightest, but the combination of comfort and power transfer is something I haven't really experienced before. This is an insanely expensive saddle and there is no getting around that, but if money's no object and you're looking for something eye-catching and comfortable then it is definitely worth trying. Verdict I’d probably prefer a 100% recyclable saddle, made with less embodied energy, and less of a harmful impact on the environment for a 100g weight penalty…Made with a proprietary, 3D printed pattern, the Shortfit 2.0 3D Racing provides support on the toughest road rides,
