The complexity of how that affects not only who you are as a person, but how others treat you in different ways. It was a big part of how Stevie sees herself, and seeing Zanders use his therapy techniques to break down her walls and reteach her the importance of self-esteem was the most romantic part of this story. True love builds others up and keeps them going with your support and dedication. Miller + Kai + Max = everything. The romance between the couple is perfect, the relationship between Kai and his son was the most beautiful and heartwarming, and don’t even get me started on the bond that Miller develops with Max. It’s the best thing ever. When Max finally gets her name out, and instead of Miller its Mama he’s trying to say… I bawled honestly this is everything I want in a romance. I’ll take no criticism with this book it’s as close to perfect as they come. But I was very pleasantly surprised by Caught Up. Unlike the previous books, there were hardly any major cringe moments (let's not talk about the hotel pool 👀) and the emotional scenes were actually impactful. Instead of the insufferable opening rant we got in Mile High, we get drawn in right away with a lil meet-cute sassy banter moment. Was it all a little insta-lusty? Definitely. But I was enjoying myself so much that I didn’t even care. Omg I knew I was right to trust Steph Bohrer’s recommendations!! She never misses. I’m so glad I ended up loving this book because I had high hopes for it. This was such a fun, easy and heartwarming read. At the beginning it was difficult to get invested in the story but it didn’t take long for me to become obsessed with this book

Stevie was easy to love and relate to. Her insecurities play a huge role in her life even tho she often doesn’t show it. She’s young and has no idea what her passion in life is and that’s okay. It’s refreshing. I loved Zanders as well. Did he have the same personality as every single mmc from all the sports romances I’ve ever read? Absolutely but I still ate it up as always. The side characters were essential to the story. Indy, Rio, Maddison, Logan and Ryan were the perfect addition to this found-family and I loved them all. Even Zanders’ father. Their relationship was so complex and very well written. Every single relationship in this book was perfect. I actually can’t wait to read Ryan’s book. I was holding on to those Indy/Ryan crumbs for dear life. Evan Zanders. I love him so much!!! How can a man be so perfect??? Of course, he’s not, because everyone has flaws but despite all of his, the only way I can describe this man is perfect. The way everyone thought he was just some man-whore, piece of shit when in reality he is the biggest sweetheart. The way he took care of his best friend's children like his own, the way he protects his team and the people he loves, the way he’s Stevie’s number one fan and he praises and encourages her daily!! *FAINTS* The way he never judges or talks shit about women unless they deserve it, the way he just wanted to be loved!! The way he spoils and treats his loved ones, the way I want him to be real so BADDDD!!! 💔💔💔 Having a fake girlfriend wasn't supposed to be messy but having Indy under my roof and in my bed is complicated, especially when she wants all the romantic parts of life that I could never give her.
