Must Read

The theme song in this episode is played in a higher key and has a different atmosphere to it than the regular theme. The same occurs in the previous television episode. Hoy les traigo otra recomendación para todos aquellos nostálgicos de la serie de los 90' que quieran revivir un poquito de esos buenos años. Robert Lawrence Stine known as R. L. Stine and Jovial Bob Stine, is an American novelist and writer, well known for targeting younger audiences. Stine, who is often called the Stephen King of children's literature, is the author of dozens of popular horror fiction novellas, including the books in the Goosebumps, Rotten School, Mostly Ghostly, The Nightmare Room and Fear Street series. Greg's weight gain happens entirely differently. In the book, Greg wakes up only slightly pudgier, then goes to school and immediately becomes obese while sitting in class, then continually grows fatter and fatter as time goes on. In the episode, however, Greg wakes up very chubby and remains virtually the same size for the next several scenes. Greg and Shari try to escape. During the struggle, Shari takes the camera from Spidey and takes Spidey's photo with it. Spidey dies of fright, an event that the photograph seems to depict. Finally, Greg and Shari return the camera to its hiding place and leave the building. They tell the Pitts Landing police that they found Spidey's corpse in the house.

Coincidentally, with the addition of a young female skeleton, the scene on the cover resembles the events of Amanda Benson's nightmare in Welcome to Dead House. The original Tim Jacobus cover art features a young female skeleton at the picnic table, despite Greg not having any sisters mentioned in the book.Greg is having fun taking pictures with the cool instant camera he found in the Coffman's spooky, old house . . . until he realizes that the pictures which develop are not what he shot. Instead they portray horrible disasters involving whoever or whatever is in them. The scariest part is that the disasters start to come true! Can this camera predict the future? Or does it actually cause bad things to happen? The only one who knows the truth is Spidey, the strange man that seems to be stalking him. Can Greg return the camera to its rightful owner before the next awful prediction comes true? Or will his fate be frozen on film forever? Julie Martin shares the same last name as Abby and Peter Martin, protagonists of a prior HorrorLand book Who's Your Mummy?, yet is in no way related. There are a few popular things to come from the books like Slappy the Dummy and Horrorland, the haunted theme park, but there’s no overarching story throughout the books. The original series opted to take the anthology approach that the books did, with each episode telling a self-contained story based on one of the books. I think R.L. Stine did the world a great service by introducing horror books to children. Children love horror; they love being scared. But only a bit scared - these books are great at being genuinely frightening, but not scarring. In the book, Marci's report was on her cat, Waffles. In the episode, it's on the gymnastics camp she went to.

I started borrowing them from the library lady who was known to be strict and not-so-fun. I would read the books in the same day and returned them the other day. The library lady took a liking in me and soon I started borrowing a couple books at one time and return them after the weekend. Joe Burton's father Mr. Burton buys 2 garden gnomes named Hap and Chip, but Joe and his sister Mindy discover that the garden gnomes were alive and cause destruction at night. Some apparel from the 1990s removed the word "Die", having the title instead read "Say Cheese And...". This would be amended for apparel released in the 2000s and beyond. Despite not being explicitly named, the description of the camera's design makes it out to be similar to that of a Polaroid brand camera.According to the Goosebumps Holiday Collector's Caps Book, Stine had finished the story before coming up with the title. He created a list of potential titles and added Say Cheese and Die! as a joke before ultimately choosing it as the final title. R. L. Stine began his writing career when he was nine years old, and today he has achieved the position of the bestselling children's author in history. In the early 1990s, Stine was catapulted to fame when he wrote the unprecedented, bestselling Goosebumps® series, which sold more than 250 million copies and became a worldwide multimedia phenomenon. His other major series, Fear Street, has over 80 million copies sold. While fighting for the camera, Greg accidentally snaps Jon's picture. The photograph then shows a long carpenter nail going through Jon's foot. Jon thinks that the camera is a joke and Greg asks if he can borrow it for a while. Jonathan then runs off to find his father, only to step on a carpenter nail, as predicted in the photograph, and then is rushed to the hospital after that. The next day, Greg goes to school and is caught by Shari on the way. Greg tries to hide the camera from Shari unsuccessfully. They have an argument about Greg bringing the camera to school which results in Greg accidentally snapping a picture of Shari. The picture then develops and appears to be a negative, leading the two to believe that the camera is broken. Shari then grabs the camera and takes a picture of Greg, which then develops into a picture of Greg appearing to look like an obese person. The dialogue isn't great, but it's not terrible, for me it's just Mediocre. Nobody really stands out here. But if you do compare it to the original the acting is at it's best. The old siries is renown for it's bad acting, I mean just watch "Ghost Beach" or "My Hairest Adventure" for example, if you don't believe me. The acting is laughably bad. Both episodes can be seen on YouTube, all 4 seasons, if your wondering. And want to see the old show again. I wouldn't blame you. The next day, Isaiah meets James, but unfortunately, Mr.Bratt shows up, calling out for Isaiah. Mr. Bratt gives the bag to Isaiah and agrees not to tell his parents about the party if Isaiah could tell everyone to keep away from his house. Mr.Bratt also makes his acquaintance as his English teacher.

Julie describes the evil camera as "a very unusual camera," possibly alluding to The Twilight Zone episode " A Most Unusual Camera". Both this book and the original Say Cheese and Die! end on the same twist ending of characters waiting to see the photo the camera created. And, of course, as I got older, my fascination with them faded away. I sold them to Bookman's, gave them to neighbor kids, passed them on to my brother, and generally forgot about them, 'til I started working in a public library, and they entered my consciousness again. But why reread them? They're not like other kid's books, like the one I recently finished ( The Name of this Book is Secret), where an adult can enjoy them too. Or are they? When a couple of Isaiah heads down into the basement and discovers an old polaroid camera that he tests out by taking two pictures, one of Allison and one of Margot. But the pictures don’t develop until a more opportune moment in the plot. This is the second book to feature a skeleton dream. The first being a nightmare from Amanda Benson in Welcome to Dead House. However, Dead House's nightmare was more detailed while the nightmare from Say Cheese and Die! is briefly mentioned by Greg after having it.
