About this deal

With a fresh and new theme in mind, we've updated all benchmarks to the latest versions, changed the way we look at certain results, and streamlined others. Additionally, and after much verification through extensive testing, we've decided that a 150GB install accomplishes the same end result as filling the drive to 50%. Turns out what's important is we test as OS disk with data on it. The amount of data we test with makes virtually no difference except in ultra-rare corner case scenarios that are typically outside consumer use case scenarios. The initial instinct is to compare the FireCuda 540 to the Corsair MP700, a drive that shares the same hardware and also goes with the bare-drive approach. The E26’s reference heatsink, used on the Inland TD510, comes with a small fan for active cooling that’s annoying to power, noisy, and generally useless, so doing away with that is a good plan. It also makes sense to let the user decide how to cool the drive, as matching aesthetics is important with high-end machines. Having a different option, as does the Crucial T700 and Gigabyte Aorus 10000, is viable, but Seagate wanted something simple with this drive. The Seagate FireCuda 530 (2TB) is the fastest NVMe SSD we’ve tested; it has a very high TBW rating for a consumer drive; and it also carries a five-year guarantee with three years of data recovery coverage. It isn’t cheap, but it’s the best thing out there.

Instalar el nvme fue de lo más fácil, existen muchos tutoriales que muestran el proceso en línea y el más comprensivo es el oficial que Sony tiene en su canal de YouTube.Random access performance is merely good rather than exceptional, but the Firecuda’s low operating temps are impressive. The same goes for the epic 2,550TB write endurance rating. All told, this is a truly excellent drive that would be an excellent addition to any PC. It’s also fully compatible with the Sony PS5, (but not the Xbox Series X).

Still, this speed, when paired with all the benefits that the new flash has to offer, will provide for plenty of uplift in comparison to Phison E18-based SSDs paired with Micron’s 96L floating gate TLC interfacing at the same speed. Not only does this flash feature four planes, but also multiple physical enhancements to its design over the company’s previous memory. Micron’s replacement gate flash uses metal-based control gates, features an increased etch diameter, and reduced cell-to-cell capacitive coupling issues to provide for its fast performance and high-end endurance. The Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB comes in a single-sided M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor. Our test model came with an integrated heatsink, though the FireCuda 530 is also available without one. The Seagate FireCuda 530 PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD is the latest in Seagate’s FireCuda lineup specifically designed for PC Gaming. Unlike previous drives, the FireCuda 530 uses PCIe Gen4 and 3D TLC NAND, it also comes in capacities ranging from 500GB to 4TB. Although it is more expensive than most consumer drives, its performance may justify the price for some serious gamers.

The Seagate FireCuda 530 is currently the fastest NVMe SSD on the market. It not only bested the best of the rest in our real-world and synthetic benchmarks, it did so by a healthy marginin several tests. If you can afford it and you can find it, you won’t regret it. Seagate recommend to me to wait until the middle of 2022 to buy another one until they fix all the problems of faulty E18 controllers that cause random formatting on the Playstation 5, En cuanto a rendimiento al jugar juegos directamente del nvme, el desempeño del nvme es prácticamente indistinguible al de la memoria interna. Thanks in advance. Not sure if this answers your question, but the methodology for that test in particular was explained at https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/details-for-sustained-sequential-write-performance-test.3603980/#post-21790529

Only a 3 year data recovery warranty but the warranty of the drive is 5 years why don't you give 5 years to both seagate? No voy a decir directamente que “recomiendo” que compres este disco nvme para utilizarlo con tu PS5 ya que nuevamente, no es el que Sony “recomienda” Today we are taking a look at the Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB NVMe SSD. Previously we reviewed the FireCuda 520, which is the immediate predecessor to this drive and was part of the initial wave of PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The FireCuda 530 represents Seagate’s premium entry into the second generation of PCIe 4.0 drives, featuring the Phison PS5018-E18 controller and TLC NAND. Drives based on the PS5018-E18 have performed very well in our previous testing, so expectations are high for this drive! Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB NVMe SSD
