I’m always looking for recipes that feature apples because for three months of the year, I have more apples available to me than I could ever use thanks to my apple trees.
If you’re new to using an air fryer, there are a few things you need to know before you start cooking. First and foremost, you’ll need to choose the right size air fryer for your needs. If you’re cooking for a family, a larger model may be necessary, but if you’re cooking for one or two people, a smaller model may suffice. The rest of the weekend could not have been more beautiful, so my Mom and I headed to the farmers’ market bright and early on Saturday morning. The air was crisp and the sun was shining – it really (finally!) felt like fall. Baked Butternut Squash is a fantastic dish; it is incredibly easy to make – all you need to do is cut the butternut squash in half, rub it with oil and seasonings, then bake for about 40 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil to the skillet and add the apple chunks. Sprinkle the apples with the sugar, and cook until light golden brown. Stir occasionally, for about five minutes. When apples are slightly tender, transfer to a plate. Cheesy, filled with fluffy eggs, crispy sausage pieces, and fresh salsa. What more could you ask for? The step that adds many flavors here is browning the sausage meat, so don’t be afraid of your sausage pieces getting nice and gnarly.Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water then drain and set aside. The slight sweetness of the apple in the sausage pairs well with the creamy cheese sauce here and helps to cut through the richness. First, cube the meat before freezing it in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag. Flatten the cubes into a single layer and they will freeze faster and come apart more readily when it’s time to add them to the processor.
