About this deal

An awesome looking card, and a nice HP bonus for the mega evolution (220 HP) but 5 energy to use one move and then the guy damages himself? Damn. Illustrated by 5ban graphics. Essentially a reprint of the original Base Set Charizard. Spits fire that is hot enough to melt boulders. Known to unintentionally cause forest fires. LV. 76 #6. Artwork byMitsuhiro Arita. Although Charizard has never been officially classified as a Dragon type (despite Alolan Exeggutor somehow making the grade) he still makes it into the Sun & Moon Dragon Majesty special set (special in the sense it couldn't be bought in booster boxes and was only available in collection boxes, pin boxes etc.). " Its wings can carry this Pokemon close to an altitude of 4,600 feet. It blows out fire at very high temperatures".Illustrated by Ryota Murayama.

Rainbow cards are visually shiny and glint, like a holo card, but are also rainbow in color. So far, there’s only one Charizard-GX that’s printed in rainbow, which is the Burning Shadows expansion version. It has one of the highest values, so if you find this card make sure you keep hold of it (or auction it off).

The Neo Destiny sets ultimate secret rare. " The flames it breathes are so hot that they can melt anything. LV. 61 #6"Illus. Hironobu Yoshida. This card was issued in both a 1st Edition and Unlimited print run. The full art version of 11/106 features an usually docile looking Charizard, which is a nice change from the fire breathing action shots used on many cards.Illustrated by Ryo Ueda. Left to right: Charizard RC5/RC32 from the Generations Radiant Collection, Charizard 11/108 Rare Holo from Evolutions and Dragon Majesty's 3/70 Charizard.

Additional cards or items – some promos come with additional cards, metal cards, and even figurines. If you can include these with the card you’re selling, you can ask for a much higher price.

TLDR; Here’s How Much a Charizard-GX is Worth

And although not as rare as a gold star Umbreon, or as powerful as a Mewtwo-EX, the Charizard-GX card is highly sought after and fairly valuable. Left to right: Reshiram & Charizard GX 20/14, Reshiram & Charizard GX 194/214, Reshiram & Charizard GX 217/214. Currently, there is no Mega Charizard-GX! However, you can find a Mega Charizard-EX as part of the Evolutions and Celestial Storm expansions. EX is not the same as GX. In fact, GX was created to replace EX cards. Charizard-GX is not the same as regular Charizard, nor Charizard-EX. If you need values for these card types, scroll down to our guide below. The first Mega Charizard in the XY Evolutions set recycles the artwork and moveset once again from XY Flashfire. (Thanks to Sam T for this info).

This article is part of Project TCG, a Bulbapedia project that aims to report on every aspect of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This full art promo arrived in the Charizard-GX Premium Collection in both a standard and jumbo size format. It features the same moveset as its GX counterparts from Burning Shadows and is essentially the missing standard full art from the Burning Shadows set. Illustrated by 5ban graphics. Charizard-GX was introduced to replace Charizard-EX. It has been printed in various sets throughout Sun & Moon, and different cards have different values.

Value is tied closely to rarity, so the rarer the card, the more it is worth. GX cards tend to be rarer than standard cards, so they’re higher in value. You should also look for: Most Valuable Washington Crossing The Delaware Quarter Worth Money: An All-Time Classic Featuring A Brand New Design

The Japanese version of the Charizard appears to have the same moves and ability as that of it's English counterpart card. Artwork byMitsuhiro Arita. Covering the extremely awesome Skyridge Charizard and moving through the EX Series cards up to Power Keepers. The only rainbow version of the Charizard and Braixen tag team, this card is highly sought after and ensured the Sun & Moon expansion went out with a sparkly, rainbow bang. It could be argued that this is still the most elusive and sought after Charizard in the Sun & Moon series (yes, even over the Hidden Fates one). Personally despite having opened an absolute load of Burning Shadows booster boxes I only ever even saw one of these cards. It is a beautiful card though for sure.
