About this deal

After 10 minutes later from the first spray , the scent faded more soft a bit sweeter there as well from the vanila ı guess that actually kind of soapy clean fresh barber style ı can say . There's a very soft but pronounced muskyness with a very thin green tone underneath, that wraps the whole composition, this musky blanket is the soul of great BRUT. FOR ME NOTES DISSECTION RUINS THE MYSTERY OF THE SCENT, ITS LIKE PONDERING OVER THE ENGINE AND TYRES MECHANISM OF A CAR INSTEAD OF ENJOYING THE CONVENIENT RIDE ,SO NO NOTES SEPARATION HERE ) BRUT Splash On earns a SpongeScore of 4/10: a milder-scented, slightly less disappointing way to experience BRUT that plays nicer with your perfume collection.

Everybody thinks this is a harsh old skool skanky scent! But its not! the scent lingers around like a fresh groomed hippie couple, im sure its been around in these hippie days on festivals.

It's interesting... I've been kind of working my way through barbershop fragrances - a process involving some detective work and some drugstores - and recently ran into the glass bottle of 'Brut Classic' (circa 2008). I was surprised... I'd tried the plastic-bottled aftershave and something called 'special reserve'; neither of them are half as good as this. Sillage is fairly potent for the first 2-3 hours, and longevity is decent in this formulation ('classic') at 5+ hours. It's surprisingly confidence-inducing in that fougere manner, both pleasant and discreet at work if not over-applied. It takes some work to set aside the cultural baggage you may have, depending upon your age (I'm 44, probably the generation most likely to be haunted by the ghosts of authority figures past), but if you can, this is a surprisingly wearable scent... As for some reformulation, the scent that I have now is very close to that Deodorant I was used to. They smell the same basically. So, I´m sure what I knew that time (early 90's) is the same I´m smelling today. And so I´m glad to have bought it. Even the aftershave splash, which is what I used most often as a teen, has good longevity and sillage. BRUT has a short-lived sting after a rough shave, but it's tolerable and doesn't last very long. Worse than Skin Bracer, milder than Aqua Velva. That said, it does absolutely nothing to soothe or cool my skin: as usual, I used it on one side of my face and left the other bare, and I really couldn't tell the difference between the two sides of my face post-shave. The ingredient list for the aftershave mentions menthol but it must be an extremely minute dose for it to have no observable effect.

So which product you choose largely depends on what you are looking for when it comes to the function of your fragrance. 3. Application Before we get into discussing the differences between these two products, it’s important to know what their similarities are, as it is these similarities that often cause people to confuse them for the same product. Brut classic/original is so versatile and lovable and im gonna wear this big time this upcoming vacation. (splash n stay fresh all day)Ingredients (abridged): Alcohol, water, fragrance, propylene glycol (a humectant), menthol, preservative, color Well , I didn't hate the scent to be honest but I'm sure not fan of it that's ok for me , ı can wear at home .The fragrance would be nice on ı can imagine right now maybe who is mature enough at least end of twenties can wear it .

I usually wear and enjoy it after a shower in the shiny cool winter evening ,when sky is blue and and the sunlight has turned to orange ,sitting in the open under the sky in solitude, sun is landing in the west and full winter moon is rising from the east, it gives an strange feeling of relaxation and calmness, no rush , no one around . Brut was the most popular fragrance for a lot of men of this period as it smelled well but was cost effective, It had particularly good appeal for a part of the world with economic problems among other things. The likes of Davidoff and Aramis would have been seen as a luxury item for a society just getting by financially.

Brut Splash-On Lotion Original 200ml

this is the perfect environment for me to enjoy brut and other classics ,im enjoying Classic fragrances in the same way from years.

However, if you’re looking for the most cost-effective option, technically it would be better to go for Brut Splash On. Whichever you choose, as long as you’ve made an informed decision then you’re unlikely to go too far wrong. The green plastic "beer bottle" varieties that are widely available in North America are manufactured by Idelle Labs for Helen of Troy and are available as Original Cologne, Aftershave, and Splash-On. Sometimes it can also be found as limited runs of "Classic" or "Special Reserve" in a 3 oz glass bottle complete with medallion or in a giant 25.6 oz glass bottle. All five versions have different versions of the fragrance formula; the giant bottle follows the original 1964 formula with modern ingredients and the other four are variations on it. With so many different variations of fragrance out there, whether it be cologne, eau de parfum or aftershave, it can be confusing to know what you should be using. The propylene glycol acts to slow down the evaporation of alcohol by allowing the fragrance oils to be dissolved within the alcohol carrier, so it follows that if the alcohol content is higher then this evaporation is likely to be less. Some men also like the cooling, refreshing feeling that comes with the added menthol in Brut aftershave. Being a passionate lover of Givenchy’s Gentlemen, Azzaro PH, Guerlain’s Héritage etc., I never trembled for such an ancient, quasi–prehistoric, scent as Brut… I used to have some memories about the green plastic bottle of the 90’s… or some about the current Fabergé’s “Original” version, in the squared glass (pictured above)… Im now searching for the EDT 3.4 oz version this is the glass square bottle with white /yellow juice which is shwown as picture for this scent and for as i know the only EDT version of the original version? By steps, and to start with, Brut is possibly- as many from the X generation- a first memory, an imprinting feel hardwired in the collective imaginary. This was the quintessential perfume for male, beloved son of a grand French tradition, conjuring lush undertones as from the bois in the outskirts of Paris (please have a walk in a French Forest and you will understand). Distilled from extracting genial ideas and discernment from Karl Mann, and Cary Grant’s commitment, casted an aura of refinement and became music for the masses, without losing charme - and this as the middle class and the bourgeoisie spirit was well alive in the ‘60es and decades thereafter, and a cologne could have been niche while widely distributed. This is for sure part of the spell. The ladies could immediately identify it as archetypical Fougere male odour, and men use it with confidence as signature- so personal while so well distributed and accessible.
