About this deal

So those are the reasons that I think the BOSS Katana 100 MKII is special, and why it is the amp of choice for me. As technology continues to close the gap, I am sure we will eventually see a Katana MKIII. But I hope BOSS never forgets the small details that make this amp so special. The devil is usually in the details, and “details” are something that BOSS absolutely nailed. Even the MKI edition hit the mark for most players. For optimal performance, stay up to date with the current Katana Mk II system software and BOSS Tone Studio

The Katana 100 MkII Head features USB and phones/recording outputs with mic’d cabinet emulation. Thisletsyou send mix-ready amp tones to a computer's DAW for direct recording, headphones for silent practice,or even a front-of-house PA system for live performance. If you're unfamiliar with the Katana'samp types, thisimmensely versatile combooffers fiveprimary amp sounds that cover everything from organic vintage clean tones to modernhigh-gain onslaught. There's even adedicated voice that's optimised for electro-acousticguitars!And with Boss' Tube Logic technology, the Katana 100 MkII Head delivers the convincingfeel and harmonic content of genuine tube amplifiers. Diverse Built-In EffectsOther built in features that you can access through Tone Studio are also very useful. The noise gate is fantastic for taming the high gain tones. Lots of modeling amps have this feature, but it is more of an “Off or On” situation. The Katana has a fully customizable noise gate, so it isn’t just made for heavy sounds. I use the noise gate on almost every patch I create. I had no idea that I needed the Katana, I just thought I was buying a fun amp to play with! Katana MkII’s five primary amp characters offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characters have now been extended with newly voiced variations, providing a wider palette of tone options to craft your personal sound. Five Effects at Once

REAR PANEL Effects loop send and return, stereo expand on/off switch, line output, power amp input, USB Type B, stereo aux input, GA-FC footswitch and expression pedal inputs, recording/headphones output Most designers wouldn’t think too hard about a cheap solid state amp when it comes to the power amp, yet BOSS definitely did. Most wouldn’t really put too much thought in the editor either, and some companies put too much thought into the editing options. The Katana is a perfect balance in that department as well. Lima karakter amp unik (Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, dan Akustik), plus variasi dengan voicing yang baru masing-masing But this is the reason that the Katana sounds so different. The Katana can fit in a band situation much better than most solid state amps for this reason too. The midrange that is so important to guitar amplifiers really shines with the Katana. Most solid state amps can’t keep up with tube amps on stage, but the Katana can. This means you get more subtle characteristics of your guitar’s sound out of the Katana. By design, all Katana amps make it easy to dial in and save great sounds on the fly. Learn about the powerful editor for the Katana amp series. Pět nezávislých sekcí pro efekty (Booster, Mod, FX, Delay a Reverb), tři volitelné variace každého z nich Boss are most renowned for their guitar pedals, and the company has crammed a bunch of its high-quality effects into its Katana amplifiers. Taking it to the next level with the MkII series, you can now use five different effects simultaneously rather than just three -giving you the power of a massive pedalboard inside your amp! Is heavier compared to the Katana 50 (that was the one that made me buy this bad boy), but the extra power provided, the support for 8 patches made me go for this one.

The choice to make the BOSS Katana 100 MKII, and the series as a whole, a Class A/B amp has more impact than you would think. Most modeling amps use Class D because it is easy, and some would say that solid state amps don’t really benefit from having a different power section. But the power section IS an important factor. Ask anyone that works on amps, of any kind. Optional GA-FC/GA-FC EX foot controller provides complete amp control, including Tone Setting selection, effects on/off, expression pedal control, and more this amplifier is seriously worth every penny. I was reluctant to buy this as I love my fender Blues Junior and Vox ac 15, both being valve amps. From the tiny Katana-Mini to the Katana Artist flagship combo, learn how each amp in the series could suit your unique musical needs. Read more… Patch Work: “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park

The speaker options are also simple and you only get three options: Vintage, Modern, and Deep. This has always been a point of contention with me and modeling software. I hate having a million speaker options, and BOSS managed to simplify that system. I don’t really have one that I prefer, and the difference is very slight unless you have the amp cranked.
