So if you end up loving this juice, you may find this bottle will last you a while, as a little goes a long way. Breaks your prejudices, a bit too sweet but very enjoyable, absurdly good quality for its price, most of it smells delicious (the oud is smokier than it should be) but what the hell, it feels good, and you want some more. Trust me, it's Istanbul in a bottle. Perfect for outdoors in the cold and if your indoors just a couple of sprays will be all you need 9/10 The performance is quite high and you are bound to have a 10~12 hours longevity and a sillage of more than six feet at its peak. As said earlier, my fragrance isn't as it should be yet, but being reintroduced to half its pyramid did jiggle my olfactory memory. The only thing I get now is Oud and other wood, but once the balance is restored Intense Oud gave quite a nice scent on my skin. I remember a strong smoky woody perfume with hints of soft leather and a caramel-like accent that softens the strong oud and deepens the fragrance. I get the first half now and pretty much a double dose of it, since there's no softening touch. I had a 10ml decant of this for testing as for me MM fragrances are always hit or miss, I love some, I dislike others, none of them are in the middle. this was my first "Gulf fragrance " as many arabs call it. and I never regret it . it is so nicely done and performance is decent.This is pretty sweet fragrance; vanilla and burnt sugar with a woody base. Some similiarities to BTF but not a direct clone. The scent has Middle Eastern vibe to it so be aware of that before you buy. The opening smells like a grandma to my nose and it's unpleasant. The dry down is much nicer and that grandma smell goes away. Performance is great and it lasts a long time. Then the sandalwood comes through more. It does smell pretty cheap, a little reminiscent of an air freshener, but it's not gonna smell expensive for that price. The vanilla is pretty synthetic at start, smells like vanilin sugar, but it does get more creamy with time. Words of advice: Preferably do not wear this in warmer seasons. I'd advice people to wear this in chilly to colder weather, for that is when it's able to smell it's best. During warmer weather I find it, somewhat suffocating and a bit sour. And also go easy on the trigger. Two to three sprays are really enough. A lad in my pool team asked me what I was wearing as he liked it, next week he came in wearing it, or at least I thought. He'd bought this stuff. Not quite as smoky as By The Fireplace, and much sweeter, has a real golden syrup vibe to it. The opening is spicier too, then it dries down to the BTF scent.

Upshot: This is a very affordable somewhat decent "vanilla/oud" scent. But don't expect any miracle buy here or copy of more expensive fragrances. Lattafa Ameer Al Oud Eau de Parfum by Lattafa is a luxurious and long-lasting fragrance that is perfect for those who appreciate the rich and exotic scent of oud. This perfume is crafted with the finest ingredients, including pure oud oil, giving it an intense and distinctive aroma that will turn heads. first 5 minutes you get booziness, fruits that develops to incensy smoky oud with praline note .last but not least your left with incensy oud that lasts for hours.I would say it's more of a men's fragrance because of the woodiness, but it's very sweet, and considering the nature of this sort of oriental fragrances, it could very well be pulled off by a woman. Mind you that I am new to oud fragrances too. So, having sprayed it on my wrist and discarded the perfume, I went about my day. I can see why this gives some people BR540 vibes because it shares that same antiseptic, hospital vibe. I’ve no desire to wear this and I’m not sure I’d like it on my husband either! Thankfully it was a cheapy so not a huge loss, but I’m a bit sad that it’s so often compared to by the fireplace because I think that’s misleading.
