About this deal

So for the gears, after some runs, I don’t ear anything ( I put everything in place again), but the FF01 is now doing some weird noises...I will investigate. should I care about the spur diameter? I already have an adjustable motor mount so I assume no problem putting a smaller diameter spur but is the diameter an issue here? I confirm the ball bearings kit is NOT the same up to a certain point. Indeed, the size of the bearings for the wheels are slightly smaller than the one for the TT02B. Thus on my Tt02, I was only able to install the driveshaft and the diff ones. Diffs ready. I mounted almost all parts on drill and sanded edges, to remove all imperfections and excess of material. Probably it will not make any difference, but at least I know that I done everything I could. Somehow, I think that big two gears inside diff need some sanding. They touch diff body and should be perfectly smooth. Straight from box, they have quite a lot material on edge. It is like plastic "hair" on edge.

Motor. I see heat sink and motor mount. Both of them will be too expensive. Which one will be better? there are talks about 0.6 / 0.8 other - I have no idea what these numbers are and how they apply here what is a good spur teeth/pinion teeth combination to increase speed in a buggy like neoscorcher / plasma edge

The TT-02B chassis is the buggy evolution of Tamiya’s popular 4WD entry level unit, the TT-02 chassis. Length: 370mm, Width: 250mm, Height: 160mm ●Wheelbase: 266mm ●Tread: 217mm (Front), 208mm (Rear) ●Bathtub-type Chassis Frame i read the df02 diff would almost fit, just one piece to modify. I also read the gpm one would fit but quality ?. Now in 2019 what would you take ? Can we put ball diff in the tt02b ? What would you change ? Reliable shaft-driven 4WD employs gear differential front and rear in sealed gearboxes for protection.

Of course I did not sand gears mesh. Only top part of edge, but still I sanded probably no more than few hundreds of milimeter. Anyhow, that part of gears do not engage with others, so it will not be issue. Gear Ratio = 10.71:1 (with kit-included pinion gear) ★Type 540 Motor ★Requires an Electronic Speed Controller (sold separately) The TRF dampers are aluminium and silky smooth, some of the best around. You can change the pistons, they have threaded bodies to adjust ride height etc. CVA dampers are the standard oil filled dampers you get with kits. Some are pretty good and you can change the pistons for different damping effects, others are basic with fixed pistons. No actual speed measurements have been taken (I don't have equipment) but info is somewhat matched to empirical data found in youtube (mainly cageman's videos). I have to say one thing: it will be slow build. I do not see reason to hurry and just think twice before I do or upgrade something. I did some mistakes with my DT-03 and I want to avoid them during this build.
