About this deal

Typically most sports games are fast-paced and intense, but Infinite Golf 2 is a breath of fresh air. When playing through a map, you’ll have to contend with various hazards, quirky challenges and strange environmental interactions e.g. ball-stealing drones and angry reindeer. The game gets progressively sillier as you work through it, and it’s a lot of fun. Golf games might not be quite as popular as they used to be. We had a drought for years with no official PGA game. And we had to wait far longer than we’d have liked for a new Mario Golf game. But all that said, there’s still a healthy selection of golf games on Nintendo Switch, and we’ve rounded up the best of them right here.

My biggest problem is that it's signing out so many times even though my internet is okay. It's so frustrating. It also takes a long time to find other players to play against. Then suddenly on hole 4 you're signed out... Golf Story takes place in a delightfully vibrant world, complete with old school pixelated graphics and colorful characters. The general premise here is that you’re an up-and-coming golfer, who got into the game by playing it with your father as a child. The game revolves around you getting into the pro scene, getting a coach and turning a club house into a bustling hub of sporting activity. This game is certainly unique, and it’s suitable for both experienced gamers and new golf fans alike. The dog puns certainly help with this, too. It’s lighthearted and fun, and the pixelated world is incredibly fun to explore as you progress through the game. Infinite Golf 2 Aside from the story and RPG elements, the simple golfing in Golf Story is excellent, too. Its wonderful 2D pixelated graphics make this feel like a SNES classic, and its simple golfing mechanics are easy to get to grips with. Sending your ball flying up the fairway has never been so satisfying. It might be far from your traditional golf game, but it’s still one of the best on Nintendo Switch by far.

Reviews

I love golf, and though I haven't played any golf in about 15 years, I really wanted to have a proper golf game for my switch. It’s worth noting that this is a very short game which banks on people wanting to replay it and try out new tactics. While it’s certainly not a game that you’ll be able to keep playing for days on end, it’s a fun experience that encourages you to think creatively and try out new things. PGA Tour 2K21 marks the first time the series has been released on the Switch, however, and given that HB has had to technically downgrade its game to be playable on Nintendo’s system, the results aren’t too shabby. It’s certainly the most realistic looking golf game on the Switch, although when your competition includes Golf Story and What the Golf?, we suppose ‘most realistic’ is a prize it gets purely for existing.

Rookies can take advantage of real-time tutorials, tips and shot suggestions. Already a pro? Master your game with Pro Vision, Distance Control, Putt Preview, and other innovations. If you feel like practicing a little, turn on Zen Mode and become a better golfer! Choose a map, wind parameters and practice your strokes without worrying about time or other players! In this update, a new ranked mode will be available via the main menu. You can select Standard Golf or Speed Golf and tee off with 3 other players*. Depending on your performance, you’ll earn points that increase your rank (and boost your ego). Reach a certain rank each month to obtain special character variants, like different colors for Yoshi and more!

Move, play, smile.

While playing a golf multiplayer game, you typically might expect to wait for other players to hit their golf ball before it’s your turn. It’s a simple rule of golf , and Party Golf flips this upside down perfectly. For those who prefer their golfing games much less serious, Infinite Minigolf is for you. A series of minigolf (or crazy golf, depending where you live) courses, it’s all about making precise putts and having a lot of fun in the process. Tee off as Toadette, who hits the green in the Mario Golf: Super Rush game! Boasting excellent control and cute pink pigtails, Toadette’s excellent at hitting shots with accuracy. Her high control will come in handy on the added New Donk City course—these 18 holes will have you bouncing balls off of buildings and golfing across skyscrapers! Hit the green with up to four players locally* or online** and golf with friends from the Super Mario™ series like Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and more! Modes range from Standard Golf to the energetic Speed Golf and an exciting Golf Adventure. Simple motion or button controls make it easy for both new players and seasoned pros to drive and putt. This is one of the most unique golf games available on the Nintendo Switch. It combines abandoned buildings, radios and thieving squirrels in an apocalyptic yet charming environment. It’s certainly not the most realistic golf game available, but it’s a solid title for anyone who wants a fun golfing experience.

Forget serious golfing for a second. If you simply want to have fun, they don’t come much more enjoyable than What the Golf?. Unless you’re looking for a serious sim, this is hands-down the best golfing game on Switch. Trust us. The best thing about this game is the user-generated map aspect. There’s an immense level of customization with Infinite Minigolf that allows users to make their own maps and share them with the community. This means that there’s always something new for you to try out in this game, whether you want to play through a map or make your own.Mario Golf: Super Rush certainly isn’t the most challenging golf game on the market, but it is truly enjoyable for relaxed, casual gaming. The customization is incredibly smart, the game plays smoothly and there’s plenty for both solo and multiplayer adventures. Dog Gone Golfing

Additional games, systems and/or accessories may be required for multiplayer mode. Games, systems and some accessories sold separately. There is a limited multiplayer option available, for two players only. It would have been great to see this title include even more multiplayer options, but the two player option works well and is enjoyable to play through with a friend.

Golf Club: Wasteland News

Infinite Minigolf is a premium example of a modern mini golf game for the Switch. It’s a great party game, and offers lots of solo play options as well. It plays well, the controls aren’t too complex and the user generated maps make it very enjoyable to play through. What the Golf? It’s a game designed to be played competitively with fellow players in the same room. You’ll each take it in turns to make your way around a number of courses, choosing either 3, 6 or 9 holes. Like any good golf game, there’s a variety of clubs to choose between; so whether you’re on the green, in the rough or on the fairway you’ll want to change your club to match. Motion controls make it a lot of fun too – just be careful not to hit anyone when you swing your Joy-Con! There are other issues too, mostly of a technical kind. The course designer present in other versions of the game is here and fully featured, which is massively welcome, but the whole thing slows to such a crawl that it’s an exercise in patience: while we appreciate HB Studios’ efforts in making sure the Switch version isn’t missing any features, this one is maybe a bit too much for the Switch to handle. Command your Clubhouse with Online Societies. Run full seasons and tournaments and earn bragging rights on the course. Create entry rules and requirements as well as handicap and event settings. There are difficulty settings so you can adjust the game to suit you (we won’t judge if you prefer an easy win), and, like any golf game on Switch should have, Neo Turf Masters has multiplayer options. You can either battle it out with players around the world for a high score, or get a friend to join you locally for a two-played battle. It might not look quite as realistic as some of its more modern counterparts, but Neo Turf Masters has a whole lot of charm all the same. 8. Infinite Minigolf
