Large wheels are very efficient when you need to cover a rough lawn. It’s the reason GC-SA 1231/1 comes with comparatively bigger wheels, covers difficult lawn and places minimal stress on the soil. The machine has a collection bag worth 28 litres. With all the power and features, the scarifier covers an area up to 300 m2. Grass Bag - The Makita UV3600 comes with a 40 litre grass collection bag. The bag is large to minimise the number of times it needs emptying, therefore letting you scarify for longer without interruption. Note that the rear flap angle allows for use without the grass bag.

Power Source: If you choose a powered scarifier, consider the power source. Gas or petrol-powered scarifiers are generally more powerful but require more maintenance and emit exhaust fumes. Electric scarifiers are quieter, cleaner, and easier to maintain but may be less powerful.

Petrol: If you own an area of more than 500 m2, then it’s better to invest in a petrol engine.
