This is in contrast to slightly less automated machines with steam wands, such as the Nespresso Creatista Uno. There is a higher workload when preparing your coffee, as you need to manually pour the milk, but there will be less cleaning to do.

The Gran Lattissima comes with a stand to elevate the platform where your espresso cup would go. This is a thoughtful feature since it'll help keep your espresso hot. OriginalLine Nespresso machines are compatible with third party capsules, widening the selection of coffee types you can brew. It’s a good choice if you want convenience and practicality, a variety of drinks, and you don’t want to learn how to operate a steam wand. If you aren’t set on making latte art and you can invest time in cleaning the milk frother, this is the machine for you. Also note, that this machine is easy to use, but the setup process can be time consuming. For example, it involves disassembling the Rapid Cappuccino System, washing its numerous components, drying them, and then re-assembling them.

Lattissima One is more compact than the Gran model. This means it has a smaller capsule container capacity (8 vs. 14). However, the water tank capacity is the same for both machines — 34 oz. The milk system functions as on the Gran Lattissima, but the milk container is smaller (only 4 oz compared to the 17 oz). You can also create a custom drink if the recipes by De'Longhi do not suit your definition of a particular drink.

In a dishwasher — Disassemble all six parts of the milk frothing system and place them in the dishwasher. Once they are clean, reassemble them. By hand — If you don’t have a dishwasher, you need to clean the Rapid Cappuccino System by hand. Disassemble it, and soak it in hot water with mild soap for half an hour. Dry and reassemble. This machine is made of several materials. It has some stainless steel and plastic with matte and high gloss finishes. The top of the machine features a glass touch panel, with 9 one-touch buttons for easy preparation of 9 different drinks (2 of those are hot milk and milk froth so we don't consider them coffee drinks). If you don't need all those specs, feel free to downgrade to either the Lattissima Pro or Lattissima Touch. (Going to the Plus or the One represents a much steeper drop-off.) Nespresso Gran Lattissima is a grand choice for coffee lovers who want espresso or a latte macchiato with a touch of a button. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of using a traditional espresso machine (grinding, tamping, frothing the milk), you’ll love Nespresso Gran Lattissima.
