So, for the first time ever, artwork from Burning Man will be coming to the UK, and Chatsworth House is honoured to host this unprecedented exhibition between April 9th and October 1st 2022. What art installations will be featured at the event? Plus, the Playa is home to the Temple (that gets burned the night after the man burns). It’s an incredibly moving place. In 2022, many of the installations focused on reused materials, including a luminescent sculpture made from plastic recovered from the ocean. Many also took into account the need for shade in the desert, which festival-goers refer to as the "playa". French architect Arthur Mamou-Mani designed a fractal gallery and amphitheatre for this year's festival.
The piece will be lit with solar energy and built with reclaimed, recycled, upcycled and biodegradable materials reducing its ecological impact.

Oh yeah, and there are no showers in Burning Man, only communal toilets to use. If you need to shower, rent an RV but trust me, you’ll be covered in dust again in minutes. Lodestar is made from a World War II military jet that has blossomed into a contemplative flower and gathering place for guest ‘pollinators.’ It has a curved steel substructure with steel legs and landing pads.
