About this deal

For those runners who are unfamiliar with the guide rail support system, you have two guide rails on both sides of the foot (a longer medial one, a shorter lateral one) that balance your foot as you run, similar to bumpers in bowling. Although a great shoe, and one I’ll continue to use, the shoe is not perfect. There are two main negatives that linger in my mind. The biggest issue for me was the 12mm drop. Segmented crash pad flexes with the foot, offering customized cushioning and stability for a smooth heel-to-toe transition. For 2 years straight, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 has been flying off the shelves. Alongside the Ghost, it’s one of Brooks’ best-selling shoes – and for good reason.

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 is a moderate feature, maximum support shoe designed for daily training and high mileage. Delivery timescales are esimates in working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. They remind me of a restaurant that has 3 to 4 amazing things on their menu as opposed to a restaurant with 50 mediocre options. The Adrenaline is evidence of that approach.DNA LOFT cushioning now extends throughout the midsole for an even smoother transition from heel to toe The shoe hugged my foot nicely, with a super cozy upper, moderate but noticeable arch support, and a really comfortable padded heel counter with no slip issues. One of two changes to version 21 is that the DNA Loft (Brooks’s highly aerated midsole foam) has been extended all the way through from heel to toe to give a slightly softer, bouncier ride. In truth, this change was barely noticed but that’s because this was already a supremely cushioned shoe that absolutely coddles your foot through the gait cycle – if you love a soft feel you’ll struggle to find better. Structured Upper Most of the immediate issues such as slightly rigid landing, limited breathability, and tightness in the forefoot began to disappear after 20 miles or so as I wore in the shoes and only got better from there. But for some runners, this is simply too long a wait to keep faith. We position the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 in our Float Experience category because the cushioning feels soft, plush and forgiving underfoot. This means they’re most suited to slower to steady paced runs and are an excellent choice for long distance runs. It’s for these reasons that the Adrenaline GTS are very popular marathon running shoes. If you’re looking for maximum cushioning, you may want to consider the Brooks Glycerin franchise.

DNA Loft foam from heel to toe delivers plush and luxurious cushioning while maintaining responsiveness and durability. BioMoGo DNA fuses BioMoGo midsole and DNA cushioning technology for a fully custom responsive ride that adapts to the needs of each and every runner. Having been in the shoe game for over two decades, Brooks is amongst both the oldest and most successful running shoe companies globally. Their specialty is producing durable, everyday trainers with their innovative technology and specialized cushioning. As mentioned, this is a daily trainer slightly on the heavier side, which isn’t built to encourage you to move at a high pace. So if you’re looking for shoes best for speed runs, this probably isn’t the one for you.I knew from experience Brooks trainers take a little longer to break-in. The drop was also evident, it is a 12mm drop in both the mens and womens. The Adrenaline sits in the middle of Brooks stability offerings, between the Ravenna and the Transcend. With its moderate stability it isn’t as speedy as the Ravenna, nor as bold as the Transcend. I’m putting this down to a few things. The first is simply breaking in, with Brooks being known to take a little longer to mold than other shoes.

Priced at 130 dollars, the Brooks Adrenaline is worth every penny. They provided me with countless comfortable miles because of the execution of all aspects. In their quest to create the best running shoe, Brooks has developed this mesh upper running shoe designed for intense training. Buying a Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 means you have a shoe that is suitable for running on asphalt. The price is the usual for a good running shoe, around one hundred euros. As is normal at this price point there is guaranteed excellent quality and cushioning. The next model, the Adrenaline GTS 22, is also interesting. Medium Weight Running ShoeIt was actually running on these uneven surfaces that I could really appreciate the GuideRails Technology. I’m a mild overpronator, and running on unpredictable surfaces often seems to make this worse, but my foot felt really stable and supported throughout. Want to see even more running shoes? We have plenty for you to browse, including men’s and women’s running trainers. Running shoes are specifically created to be breathable and flexible while providing support and bounce to optimise your run, so we recommend taking your time and finding the right pair for you. They made small changes to last year’s model along with this year’s model. Let’s start from the ground up. The Brooks Adrenaline is celebrating its 21st birthday this year. This is quite the accomplishment given the constantly evolving nature of running shoes. Not many shoes out there can say they made it to their 20th edition.

Sure you could find more visually appealing stability trainers out there but I doubt you will find one that consistently performs as well as the Brooks Adrenaline.

Run Happy in NZ

The Adrenaline underwent a monumental change between the 18th and 19th editions. They eliminated the medial post and installed their guide rail system in its place. From time to time carriers may deliver earlier or later, or on non working days however this is cannot be guaranteed nor should it be expected. I have/had Adrenalin GTS 19/20 and now bought a pair of Adrenalin GTS 21 US12/46EU size (Blue/Red color). Never used first once on both feet. If I slight put weight on the toes the TOE Box mesh material collapses on both sides (Only left shoe). My real foot size is 28.5CM so the 12″ is 1.5″ Size above. There is enough room for the toes. The second standout was down to Brooks’ DNA Loft foam, which creates a much firmer landing than ‘marshmallow softness’ running shoes such as the Hoka Clifton 8. The fit on the bridge of my foot felt a little too snug at first, but once I started moving, I was pleasantly surprised at how the gusseted tongue and laces flexed as my foot did, allowing for a nice smooth transition by preventing any restriction, rubbing or tightness.
