About this deal

She appears in the ending of the spin-off anime series Nyanbo!, based on the Danbo character that appears in multiple chapters of the Yotsuba&! manga.

Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Every chapter is titled "Yotsuba & __", with Chapter 14 ("Asagi's Souvenirs") as the Odd Name Out. In Chapter 87, Yotsuba draws a picture of Pretty Cure and shows her grandma. She describes it as "fighting with lots of dogs". Unbeknowst to Yotsuba, Miura is the one who made and is hiding inside the cardboard robot known as Cardbo (or "Danbo"). Miura made it together with Ena for a school project, and ever since Yotsuba walked in on Miura trying on the robot costume, the two girls have been pretending that Cardbo is a real robot, which Yotsuba fully believes in. Yotsuba loves being with Cardbo, which Miura finds frustrating since it is very warm in there, but Ena keeps insisting they keep Cardbo's real identity a secret because Yotsuba's dreams must be preserved.

This manga provides examples of:

She has been noted to be terrible at lying, though she says that she could if she really wanted to. She was able to hide her false identity from Fuutarou all the while maintaining their current fake relationship.

Really, Yotsuba's way of speaking is funny, but may not be one to imitate or use for serious study, especially when you're talking to people you don't have a close relationship with. She seems to imitate her father who speaks very casually, especially with his friends Jumbo and Yanda, who is introduced a little later into the series. For example, Yousuke sometimes refers to his friends as あいつ, which is both masculine and can come across as rude depending on the relationship between you and the person you're talking to. So, just keep in mind — Yotsuba generally speaks like her father, specifically the casual speech he uses with people close to him. Although adults are often more adept at manipulating their way of speaking depending on the situation or whom they are talking to, as a child, Yotsuba's still learning, and she often uses the casual (and masculine) speech style no matter whom she's talking to. Jumbo almost has this sort of relationship with Miura, of all people. At one point, he flies to Hawaii just to spite her. Beach Episode: Two, one each in the beach and pool variations. Being a Slice of Life series, neither counts as filler. Ena, a patient girl who's interested in things like tea parties and frogs, is friends with Miura, a short-tempered girl who's sporty but squeamish. Carlson, Johanna Draper (28 July 2008). "*Yotsuba&!— Recommended Series". Comics Worth Reading . Retrieved 19 January 2009. Almost everything is a new experience for her, and her enthusiasm provides the appeal of the stories. Her wide-eyed innocence and seemingly inexhaustible energy makes for charming misunderstandings and comedy.

GOOD SMILE COMPANY

Kominato’s parents were both musicians, and they encouraged their daughter to pursue a career in music from a young age. She began practicing singing and dancing at the age of six and trained extensively in various styles, including jazz, ballet, and modern dance. Still in the Tokyo arc, when she is taken to a fancy hotel restaurant's all-you-can-eat buffet, Yotsuba is absolutely flabbergasted with so many options before her, leading her to worry about eating too much and turning into a pig like Spirited Away.

While Yotsuba Kominato may not have a personal life in the traditional sense, her character development throughout the series has been a topic of interest amongst fans. She is portrayed as a kind-hearted and innocent young girl, who learns valuable life lessons as she interacts with the other characters. Parental Abandonment: As Jumbo puts it, "Yotsuba was an abandoned child"; all Koiwai has said is that while he was traveling overseas for his work, he found himself taking care of her. Yotsuba herself remembers only living with her adoptive grandmother and, before that, on an island that's "to the left". The Ayases have no idea what she means, either.Scary Scarecrows: Yotsuba is terrified of these, even though the scarecrow in question looks more like a bullseye target than a traditional Western scarecrow. (Given she's also frightened by the wide-eyed owl at the zoo, it may be the resemblance to a giant eyeball that scares her.) Miura tries to prank Yotsuba by pretending to be one, with results that were, well, let's just say it worked a little too well. The Harajuku "alien" girls sport a more traditional example, used to indicate Yotsuba's fear of them (as they have normal eyes in shots that aren't from her perspective).
