When Rhinox was turned into Tankor one day, Waspinator and Silverbolt similarly woke up in the bodies of Thrust and Jetstorm, respectively. Seeing a kinship between them, Tankor asked the two if they'd join him in turning the world into a paradise of original Transformers, but Thrust countered that his kids didn't know anything about characters from 30 years ago and that it's better to have lots of versions of Transformers for everyone to enjoy. Their refusal angered Tankor, and a battle broke out between the three Vehicons. I'm Tankor, dana! The same colors from the robot mode carry over to this one but the distribution is different, with sections such as the abdomen and robot thighs condensing together. The beast mode eyes are painted a gorgeous metallic purple color, something we do not see often in the the Transformers toy line. The wings get to shine here with their beautiful translucent purple color. The legs and antennae are brown plastic. When the Maximals and Predacons joined forces to fight off the Vok, Waspinator's two degrees in astro-mechanics got him assigned to the Axalon. After getting a restraining bolt slapped onto him, Waspinator helped Rattrap on the Axalon 's engines, managing to restore them to 34% thrust capacity and making the ship capable of planetary flight. Working alongside local guide Darksteel, Terrorsaur encountered a group of Slicers, which were revealed to be the handiwork of their quarry; successfully convincing the skeptical Builder to work alongside Megatron, Leatherhide and Terrorsaur returned to Megatron's base of operations to further their experiments. The gambit paid off when Leatherhide proved able to successfully hybridize Cybertronians with mechanimals, creating Formikon as the first Transformer to have undergone the " Beast Upgrade." Terrorsaur was one of the last members of Megatron's inner retinue to undergo the process, but, after Leatherhide forcibly shoved the fearful Predacon into the machine, Terrorsaur safely emerged, pleased by his new beast mode. There are reports in the southern UK of an invasion by Dolichovespula Wasps from warmer European climes, dubbed the Euro wasp. This species is rather larger than the Common and German Wasps and has a more painful sting. He does have waist articulation, but when you turn the upper body it has a tendency to separate from the lower body (a function of the transformation) so that's unfortunate. Waspinator has partially open hands that can accommodate weapons with 5mm pegs. There are also 5mm ports on the bottom of the feet.
