About this deal

In May 2021, a 26-year-old man from Sudbury was arrested in connection with the inquiry and taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning. The 76-year-old was found lying unconscious in the doorway of her home, which was also part of the shop, on January 9, 1982. It is believed that she suffered heavy blows to the head. On January 20, 1961, Linda’s body was found in a field around 18 miles away in Polstead, having been strangled with her school scarf. Jeanette had gone missing 16 days before she was found, having last been seen drinking at The Loughborough Hotel in Brixton with a man who was known to her. Jeanette Kempton went missing in February 1989. Picture: Suffolk police (40062439)

The person or persons who did this may not have knowledge of who the victim was or how he died, but quite clearly they will know something of significance to the investigation. Her body, partially decomposed, was found in a ditch adjacent to the B1518 in Wangford, on February 18, 1989, 16 days after she was last seen. Initially treated as a missing person appeal, the death of Lillian Wright on April 17, 1980, has been investigated as a no-body homicide since 2004.

Therefore, we continue to appeal to anyone who believes they have any information about the discovery of the remains to come forward. Lillian, 55, was known to be a regular bingo hall in Lowestoft. On the day of her disappearance, she left her house to visit the bingo hall in Battery Green Road, but she never made it inside. Further investigation have come to light in the 39 years since she died, and while the case is regularly reviewed, nobody has ever been charged with her murder. Diane Jones, 35, of Coggeshall. Picture: Suffolk Police Police bidding to solve the case of anonymous bones which were found in bin bags in a river have released a CCTV image of potential witnesses. On Tuesday, August 28, 1984, Edna was found by neighbours at home in Finchley Road, Ipswich, after they noticed smoke coming from her front door.

Originally from London, Plunkett was one of hundreds who had travelled to Ipswich for the event at Zest, which has now shut down, on December 9, 2006. Several known offenders were arrested as part of the murder investigation, but to this day, nobody has ever admitted to Edna's death. Edna Harvey was murdered in her home in 1984. Picture: Suffolk Police This is the fourth in the Captain Lacy Mystery Series written by Ashley Gardner. I read the third one earlier this week and was a little bit disappointed by the story and the interactions between the characters. This installment is right on par with the first two books in the series. I thought everything was very well done; the writing, the mystery, the period details, I thoroughly enjoyed it all. They also released CCTV footage of a van entering the field in which Victoria’s body was found and a group of people with torches entering the field at night. Another new author for me, and I am glad that someone left a dozen books in the series at our library. Det Supt Mike Brown said: “We remain fully committed to solving this complex case and obtaining justice for the victim and any family he may have had.

During the investigation, police were told the name of Ali Qazimaj, who was said to have been a carer for the Stuarts’ son-in-law’s father. The judge said Jillu was a “loving and devoted mother” to Louise. He said Louise was a “happy and cheerful girl who inspired great affection in those who knew her”. Edna had been largely confined to her home due to bad eyesight and as a result very little is known about her movements on the days leading up to her death. The death of 35-year-old Diane Jones in 1983 also remains shrouded in mystery almost four decades on.Six years later, on January 16 1967, the dissected body of 17-year-old Bernard Oliver was discovered in two suitcases in Tattingstone, Suffolk. Amanda was seen talking to the driver of a dark Ford Sierra at around midnight that evening, but appeals to trace this vehicle or the driver were unsuccessful. Amanda Duncan went missing from the Portman Road area in 1993. Picture: Suffolk Police

Her case was last reviewed in 2014. Dora Pratt was the victim of a burglary before she was killed in 1982. Picture: Suffolk Police From the oldest case to the most recent, the death of Eye resident Richard Clarke remains a mystery to this day. A person was tried for her murder after being arrested in 2001, before the jury returned a not guilty verdict and they were acquitted. Her daughter was saved from the flames, but Karen could not be recovered, and the person behind the act remains unknown. Karen Hales' house in 1993 and how it looked in 2014. Picture: Suffolk PoliceI found this book, The Sudbury School Murders, to be a nice change of venue wherein Captain Lacey, via his friend Lucius Grenville, has found work in the country at a school for sons of the richest, albeit merchant-class, men in London. It would seem a good choice for the destitute yet proud Lacey to get out is his grimy rooms in and even grimier London to find a way to make some money to supplement his half-pay from the military and find a modicum of peace in the fresh air of the countryside. At around 8pm, a witness saw Richard in his driveway holding his head. It is believed that he could have sustained the injury by this time.
