About this deal

On top of all the G1-based designs, there are a lot of smaller details all over the figure. This includes bars and panels on the arms and legs. While these greebles add some texture to the figure, I do not believe they take the figure over the top.

Part of the retooling for this release involves Megatron getting a whole new set of accessories. Here's a rundown: My God, What Have I Done?: In Earthrise, Optimus admits that he was wrong for throwing the Allspark through the space bridge, which resulted in Cybertron slowly dying, and he resolves to find it and return it. Megatron A, Megatron B, Megatron Retailer's Incentive, Megatron Dynamic Forces Exclusive variant, and Megatron (Second Printing). While not branded as part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy, the IDW Transformers comic series that commenced in 2019 extensively uses contemporary toy designs; consequently, numerous main characters appear in Siege toy designs. The sword weapon is rather ugly. It would have been cooler if the sword and cannon pieces could have separated into two accessories.Dramatically Missing the Point: When Sky Lynx states that being in the Dead Universe had allowed him to become true power, Optimus thinks that he is still as arrogant as when Alpha Trion banished him. Sky Lynx then clarifies that even with all his power, he could never leave the Dead Universe, and the situation forced him to reexamine himself and took a level in humility. Merchandise-Driven: Of course, it's a Transformers series. The entire show is named after its toyline and the characters are all modelled to look exactly like their toys if they had one planned during production. The two prominent characters who didn't have toys, Bumblebee and Elita-1, get one thanks to the show's existence. Full-Circle Revolution: Megatron's original rebellion was against the corrupt, tyrannical rulers of Cybertron, but by the time of the series, he's become every bit the bloodthirsty tyrant himself. But absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Megatron's Decepticon revolution, like many such movements, ended up becoming a whole new tyranny. Powerful, charismatic, violent, and full of rage for any who would stand in the way of his ambition and drive, Megatron brought Cybertron past the brink of destruction. Now he and his former brother-in-arms Optimus Prime fight on other worlds. Megatron will never forgive Optimus for "betraying" him, stealing from the Council the rank of Prime which was rightfully his. He has reserved for his old friend the greatest honor possible: glorious death at his hands.

Dinobot dies similar to how he did in Beast Wars, making a Last Stand against the Predacons, as well as the Decepticons. Before leaping into battle, he even paraphrases his original self's speech, saying that while he knows he has a choice in his fate now, that he has no choice at all. When Earth was properly inducted into the Council of Worlds, Scarlett remembered the devastation Megatron had brought to Earth and wondered whether or not Earth was out of its weight class against Cybertronians as well as if Earth was truly ready to join the Council. First Strike #1 While in jail on Cybertron, Scarlett confessed to Optimus Prime that she had primarily come to Cybertron to save Joe Colton from himself, something which Optimus sympathized with, having gone through similar experiences with Megatron. First Strike #4 When justifying his genocidal campaign to Scarlett, Joe Colton claimed Earth was "one more Megatron" away from complete extinction. First Strike #6 Megatron was originally a humble miner, but the injustices perpetuated by the corrupt Senate pushed him into becoming a prominent, if controversial, civil rights advocate, and, eventually, the founder of the Decepticon movement. Megatron's political struggles bemused his nominal friend, the power-hungry Orion Pax, who used his connections to spring Megatron from prison whenever the Decepticon leader got himself in trouble with the establishment, but over time disagreements drove a wedge between the two former friends. One day, while Megatron lead an anti- empurata rally outside the Senate building, Senate officer Prowl wound up brutalizing the Decepticon Ratbat; when Megatron intervened, he came to blows with Prowl and landed himself in jail. Shattered Glass #2 The sight of a humble ex-miner taking on the Senate inspired Starscream, who later joined the Decepticons. Shattered Glass #3Optimus Primal strikes Prime in the same place Megatron mortally wounds Prime in Transformers: The Movie. Attach the Fusion Cannon to the sword piece by connecting the end of the Fusion Cannon to the peg on the sword piece. Also connect the pegs on the Fusion Cannon to the corresponding ports on Megatron's arms.

Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Downplayed. While everyone has a gun, Elita-1 and Chromia are the ones who specialize in sniper rifles and don't at any point get into hand-to-hand fights like the male characters in Siege. In Earthrise, this is averted as both of them get physical against Decepticons on multiple occasions. Under Megatron's leadership, the Decepticons conquered many city states including Kalis, Tarn, and Vos. When the time came to strike against Iacon, Megatron led a five-con team in under the cover of darkness to bomb the Iacon Energon Refinery. They had barely planted the first bomb when they were spotted and fired on. After the other three Decepticons were shot down, Megatron gave Soundwave a bomb and set about causing a distraction while his second-in-command went to plant it. When Soundwave was also shot down, Megatron flew into action, helping up the rest of his team and carrying Soundwave as they retreated under the cover of an exploding bomb. War Story After receiving a life sentence, Starscream defended his reign to Bumblebee by stating that, unlike Megatron, he hadn't plunged Cybertron into four million years of war. Surfeit of PrimesFun Publications' Jesse Wittenrich developed Megatron's Galvatron form by painting a War Within Springer he didn't want. The development of Galvatron's deco started out with the colors of Dai Atlas, but the final results shifted to become more purple. [6] Galvatron appears via time travel and it is implied he is a future version of Megatron. This is similar to how the character originally appeared in the Marvel and Marvel U.K. Transformers series, where Galvatron is a reformatted, future version of Megatron. Also, Galvatron's arrival is a frame-by-frame recreation of the scene from the 86 movie where Megatron is reformatted into Galvatron. Megatron's post-" Dark Cybertron" body was never seen transformed into its alt mode, although Alex Milne tweeted concept art during the run of Lost Light that showed Megatron transformed into a heavy tank. [2] As this tank design would have required Megatron's signature Fusion Cannon, which had been discarded prior, it would have been left largely unhelpful anyway. By contrast, Nelson Dániel's retailer incentive cover for Lost Light #3 showcases a different tank design using a different cannon.
