To give your sandbox extra protections, a cover can be placed over the top when not in use (some models feature a retractable lid). The cover will also protect against the weather and any unwanted creatures making their way into the box. An internal ground sheet can be fitted at the bottom of the sandpit to keep the sand from mixing in with any dirt or grass from the ground. Play sand is softer and safer. It’s non-toxic and non-staining and has been washed, dried and sieved making it much gentler for children.
