About this deal

Sir Michael Marsh: Well, it had to be somewhere out of the way. And there's an underground river that runs through the wood. That was the main reason. A nuclear power station requires a constant supply of water, you see.

It is mentioned that his powers work through his belief in them. This is how he climbed the sword ladder in Necropolis. He can manipulate almost any object with his mind and was able to create energy blasts while fighting the Old Ones in Peru. Lohan appears in the fourth and fifth books of the series, Necropolis and Oblivion. He is Incense Master in the White Lotus Society and his father is Master of the Mountain. He is appointed as Scarlett Adams’ protector during the events of Necropolis. In Oblivion, he ends up with Matt in Brazil, where he sells Matt to become a slave, takes the money, and rescues him. He almost abandoned Matt at a gold mine to save himself, but Matt stops him. [ citation needed] Holly (introduced in Oblivion) [ edit ]Alicia, Danny and Jamie hurry to Auburn to stop the assassination. Jamie sees Scott with Susan Mortlake, a leader of Nightrise, in the crowd, and he tries to send a telepathic message to him, but it fails. Desperate, Jamie commands Warren Cornfeld, Trelawny's bodyguard and would-be assassin (being controlled by Scott), to aim the gun at Susan Mortlake. Cornfield shoots and kills Mortlake, and in chaos Jamie takes Scott and meets up with Alicia and Danny. They meet Natalie Johnson, a member of the Nexus and a friend of Trelawny, who gives them her car to escape. Policemen immediately come after them and the twins bid farewell to Alicia and Danny. Jamie and Scott use a hidden doorway in a cave at Lake Tahoe, and emerge in Cuzco, Peru at the Temple of Coricancha. The twins find their way to the Nazca desert and meet with Matt and Pedro, the first and second Gatekeepers. Incident at Raven's Gate (also released as Encounter at Raven's Gate) is a 1988 science fiction arthouse feature film directed by prominent Australian director Rolf de Heer. Sir Michael Marsh is, along with Jayne Devrill, the main antagonist of Raven's Gate. The mastermind behind the government's Omega One project, he was knighted by the Queen for his services. So maybe next time when I turn up floating face down in a river, maybe you'll decide it's worth investigating. And I'm telling you now, I won't have died from bad eyesight.

In Oblivion, Richard and a severely-injured Scarlett arrive through the door under the pyramids in Egypt. However, due to the ten years that had passed because of the door's malfunction, the country is now engulfed in a civil war between the military government dominated by the Old Ones and a group of freedom fighters led and funded by the Nexus. He later encounters a teen girl named Holly, who Jamie met at St Boltoph's in England. When Matt is captured and tortured by the Old Ones due to Scott's betrayal, Richard stabs Matt with the tumi, to provide him with a swift death, thus enabling his past self to replace him. Richard and Holly help the Gatekeepers defeat the Old Ones in the battle at Oblivion; and eventually Richard and Holly marry. The Gatekeepers return to the Dreamworld to live, and Richard and Holly wait for their chance to permanently live there. Audrey Cheng is an antagonist in book four Necropolis. She is introduced when Scarlett arrives at Hong Kong airport and Scarlett takes an instant dislike to her. Although she is a woman she has the physique of a man with broad shoulders. The cast of Incident at Raven's Gate includes long-term Australian stage and screen actor Max Cullen as a policeman and Terry Camilleri as an astrophysicist attached to Special Branch, investigating unexplained radar signals in a remote South Australian country town.Matt and Richard escape, foiling the experiment. Most of the witches die, Mrs. Deverill falls into a vat of acid and an Old One gets through Raven’s Gate just long enough to kill Marsh before being returned to its prison. Senator Charles Baker is one of the two candidates running for the presidency of the United States. He is John Trelawny's main opponent and has been losing the election for the duration of Nightrise. At the end of the book he manages to win the election. Harry Foster, an Australian who owns a newspaper empire operating internationally. He is about forty years old and is most prominent in Necropolis, where he proposes several strategies to sneak the Gatekeepers into Hong Kong. Well look... What you've just told me is complete... Crap! Lanes that go round in circles| Strange looks from the villagers! I know I said I wanted a story, Matt! But I didn't mean a fairy story! Matt's name in his past life is never revealed. When Jamie asks him when he goes to the first battle, Matt only tells him that he prefers to use his future reincarnation name. [ citation needed]

Sir Michael Marsh: You say there were electric lights at the power station? And the boy heard a humming noise? Their past incarnations are Sapling (Jamie) and Flint (Scott). Matt had stated that Scott's past incarnation name, Flint, suited him for Scott had a hard look around him and a type of cruelty. He was supposedly angry when Matt split him and Jamie apart for the twins had never been so far apart. Matt stated that he thought Scott could not be trusted yet. Jamie and Scott are both fourteen years old in Nightrise, but are fifteen in Necropolis. In Necropolis, it shows that Jamie is now more in charge of the two, as Scott is very withdrawn and quiet. Scott also shuts down when in stress. The reason was that he was thoroughly programmed while held captive by the Nightrise agents in Nevada, USA. Nightrise stated at the start of Necropolis that it was possible to turn Scott against his friends. Holly appears in the fifth book of the series, Oblivion. She accompanies Jamie Tyler after the society she lives in is burnt down by the police in an attempt to kill the inhabitants. With help from the 'Traveler' they escape to London. At Oblivion, Antarctica she shoots a series of bullets into Chaos. She also is the «author» of the books. [ citation needed] Noah (introduced in Raven's Gate) [ edit ] Matt ends up living with Richard in York. They get a visit from Fabian, a member of Nexus, who has come to talk to him about a second gate in Peru. Richard doesn't want to go through all this again, but Matt explains he has no choice because he is a Gatekeeper and, as the Old Ones will try to break out again, it is his destiny to stop them when they do. If I told you everything I'm about to tell you now, my reputation, everything I've worked for, would disappear overnight. It makes no sense. Not in the real world, anyway. Susan Ashwood may have seemed eccentric to you. You might have thought she was a fraud. However, I'm telling you she was right. There is another world. We are surrounded by it. There is an alternative history as alive in the streets of twenty-first century London as it was many thousands of years ago, when it all began. But only cranks and lunatics are meant to believe in it, because you see, that way everyone feels safer...Sir Michael Marsh: Yes, Mr Cole. The radiation would indeed kill you. Which is why, when uranium is moved, it is carried in heavy, lead-lined boxes. Matt is the first of the Five and the leader of the Five, and is the main protagonist in the first two novels Raven's Gate and Evil Star. He did reappear in the third novel Nightrise but only very briefly when Scott and Jamie Tyler appeared in the Nazca Desert, the place where Matt and Pedro were staying in Professor Chamber's hacienda. Matt is not the main protagonist in book four as that is left to Scarlett Adams (who is the fifth of the Five) but he makes a bigger appearance than he did in Nightrise.
