I love Jake ♥️ If I had a Jake, I would keep him all to myself and I would cherish him for the amazing person he is. Jake literally has my heart. Well, I'd let him keep Caleb, I'm not selfish. LOL. Poor Jake was also just a babbbbyyyyy. Like cute golden retriever energy throughout but he’s so confident in the beginning, and then ends up just being insecure and whiny later on. I didn’t vibe with him at all. Especially considering he had this earth shattering connection with Rachel, it all just sort of fell apart in the middle. The first problem you get is the run in with her ex. It was just left with Victor threatening him. The ex really didn’t do anything. I think it would’ve been a great opportunity for him to have tried some thing, even cornering her and trying to force himself on her something. However, I’m not too mad at it because it wasn’t the real climax of the book. I enjoyed first few chapters of the book. It was chaotic in the best way possible. I remember laughing and giggling reading the characters’ interactions. Unfortunately, it went downhill. Mars Kinnumen is thirty years old and is the goalie for the Rays. He is Finnish. Mars is an amazing goalie. But he has been hiding an injury for weeks, not wanting it to take him out of play.

While this may be book six, you can read each of the books in the series independently. However, if you would like to know about how all the side characters found their true love, I suggest starting with book one. I have yet to read a book by Ms. Geller that I did not enjoy, nor that I couldn’t finish reading within a few days because I just had to know what happened next. Tropes: Band of Brothers/Found Family, Curvy Woman, Forbidden, Forced Proximity, Friends to Lovers, Grumpy/Sunshine, 🏳️‍🌈, MINE!, Neighbors, One Night Stand, Rich AF, Why Choose, Workplace Monroe is also an amazing character!! She was honestly just as crazy as him and she was always so real which I loved! I felt so bad that people kept objectifying her, she didn’t deserve that and it was actually so disgusting most of the time which fr broke my heart for her. She deserves the world and I’m glad she’s able to obtain that now being with Lincoln. I saved this book because it looked like a cute premise. I opened it not prepared for darkness. I read 27% of it hoping I was missing something. And I skimmed the rest of the book in absolute disbelief.

Monroe, at a young age, had a hard life she was already abaonded by her mother and living in forster homes and one foster home she was already ready to leave since the father was being creepy. Not wanting to take that chance, she leaves plans to make it on her own. Lincoln’s gets JEAAAALOUS 😈. He sees all men as competition, and he needs to take care of all of them 🤷. Don’t get in his way 😬 or else 💅

Wh… whaaaaaattt??? 🤦 you’ve been talking about how you don’t wanna be like your mom, and you just give in… like… whaaaattt? 🤦 it goes against ALL she’s been preaching/thinking throughout the book, wanting to be her own person, NOT relying on men/playboys, and then she’s just like I also loved the found family of the team here. They were all funny and supportive and I’m so excited to read the books for the rest of the team! Especially Ryan and Tess in book two. Reverse age gap! Plus size rep! Golden retriever! Tess is my dream girl so yay.

Was this book in any way morally correct? No. Did I enjoy it nonetheless? Surprisingly, yes (I need therapy fr lmao). no condoms/no safety talk 😐 he’s been a huge manwhore and they never mention anything 😐/apparently, she got on a bc implant we should’ve known about revealed at 84% Aloynka’s only character trait is that she doesn’t want people to think she got special treatment because of her dad and she wants to be respected as a sports commentator but having her fall for the one person who doesn’t respect her as well as do nothing but objectify her is garbage. I don’t even feel like she deserves better because there’s not much to like about her.
