SSO2 bearing The NF-A12x25’s impeller is made from Noctua’s novel Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) compound that features extreme tensile strength, an exceptionally low thermal expansion coefficient and damping characteristics that are ideal for reducing resonance and vibration phenomena in advanced fan-blade designs. AAO frame With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency. Integrated anti-vibration padsIn addition, the hub area of the fan is reinforced with metal to improve stability. The impeller of the NF-A12x25 LS-PWM is on the suction side with so-called flow acceleration channelsfitted. These accelerate the air in the outdoor areas, so that efficiency is improved and the volume is reduced. The air flow is further optimized by the stepped inlet area and the microstructure in the inner area of the frame. Vibrations can be reduced with anti-vibration pads and Noctua provides anti-vibration sealing lips for mounting on radiators . A low-noise adapter (LNA) is included as a further accessory , which reduces the maximum speed to 900 rpm. If two fans are to be operated on one connection, this is easily possible thanks to a 4-pin Y-cable . A practical 30 cm long cable extension for convenient cable management completes the accessories. The fan includes a USB power adaptor cable that allows it to run on power banks, devices with USB host ports or USB power supplies such as those used for smartphones, giving you near endless possibilities for using the fan in your home, in your car or wherever a need for cooling occurs! The Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM is a special version of the flagship model NF-A12x25 PWM and runs at a particularly low speed ex works . Thanks to aerodynamic design measures, it achieves an impressive silent cooling performance. This is made possible, among other things, by the narrow impeller gap of just 0.5 mm. Equipped with a 4-pin PWM connection , the fan speed can be regulated and is between 450 and 1,200 revolutions per minute. The fan runs extremely quietly with a maximum of 12.1 dB (A) and still offers an air throughput of up to 55.7 m³ / h (32.78 cfm) and a static pressure of 0.82 mmH2O.Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated anti-vibration pads as well as Noctua’s proprietary Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures, both of which further refine the fan’s performance/noise efficiency. Stepped Inlet Design The NF-A12x25 impeller features suction side Flow Acceleration Channels. By speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces suction side flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.
