a b Anthony Tommasini (2007-11-05). "Musical Days of Berlin (the City ... and the Irving)". The New York Times . Retrieved 2011-04-23. With the Palast Orchester and guests Herbert Grönemeyer, Lars Eidinger, Namika, Lea, Mr Lordi, Pawel Popolski and Samy Deluxe, the live album "Max Raabe & Palast Orchester MTV Unplugged" was produced in 2019 as CD/DVD. Interpreting own compositions and original songs from the 20s/30s together with these artists who have no stylistic connection to the Palast Orchester was what made this project so appealing to Max Raabe. Filming took place in Berlin´s Clärchens Ballhaus. In 1992 Max Raabe wrote his first hit “Kein Schwein ruft mich an” (Why Does No One Call) and appeared on stage in Heinrich Mann´s “Der blaue Engel” (Blue Angel) under the direction of Peter Zadek . The orchestra made its Carnegie Hall debut in 2005. [7] The ensemble returned to Carnegie Hall in November 2007, [1] and the performance was recorded for commercial release [8] on the album Heute Nacht oder nie – Live In New York. The orchestra returned to Carnegie Hall in March 2014. [6] The orchestra has collaborated with musicians such as HK Gruber, [9] Peter Lohmeyer, and Heino Ferch. [10] In other media, the orchestra appeared in the 1994 film Der bewegte Mann.

Parallel to the increasing success and international career with the Palast Orchester, Max Raabe gives concerts with pianist Christoph Israel. Their duo-CD “Über´s Meer” (Over The Sea) was released 2010 by Universal / Decca. Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester Return to Carnegie Hall 3/4". BroadwayWorld.com. 26 January 2010 .
