About this deal

Manual focusing is possible in a focus-by-wire fashion. This should not put you off using it as it feels pretty natural in use, and actually enables the camera to display a magnified view of the subject automatically, i.e. without your having to press a dedicated button or enter the menu. The focus ring is slim but adequate for the job. Chromatic Aberrations Sell the kit you’re not using to MPB. Trade in for the kit you need to create. Buy used, spend less and get more. Buy. Sell. Trade. Create. As for the corners, the results at 12mm are once again very close, even when the two lenses are set to their respective fastest apertures. From 25mm the Pana-Leica becomes a little sharper than the Lumix and this trend continues up to 40mm and 60mm. I have Olympus pro line of lenses. And yet I can't see myself carrying those with me all the times as the cheap lenses does just fine from corner to corner work etc. For still photography I’ve been won over by Olympus. I love the Lumix bodies for their ergonomics but the AF system they use is just to unreliable. I’m still using my Lumix gear for my youtube videos but for serious work I’m using mostly Olympus now.

Daniel, with your extensive field experience, do you think I am better served to take the Olympus OM-D E-M1X or OM-D E-M1 Mark III on the trip as a second body? Compatible lenses: H-XA025, H-ES200, H-E08018, H-X1025, H-HSA12035, H-ES12060, H-FS12060, H-X2550, H-HSA35100, H-FSA45200, H-ES50200, H-FSA100300 and H-RS100400 For the most critical users, edge and, particularly corner resolution are never quite ideally good, even if for most users, most of the time, it probably matters little. The LUMIX G VARIO 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. has a closest focusing distance of 0.20m/0.66ft and a maximum 0.27x magnification rating, so it's no macro lens, although that's not surprising for a standard zoom lens. Rec.Quality options corresponding to RAW video data output will be displayed when [Menu]>[Video]>[Image Format]>[HDMI RAW Data Output] is turned ON.

I had done a research on the 3 lenses I have interest, the PL 12-60, the P 12-60 and the OMDS 12-100. As per OpticalLimits, they are compared as below: I also have the Oly 60mm macro, the Oly 9-18mm wide angle tele, and the Pana-Leica 25mm f1.4 (plus the compact Pana 12-32 and 35-100 kit lenses that I use exclusively on my little GF7 for situations where the GX9 is too prominent or bulky)Sharpness at 12mm is outstanding centrally, from open aperture through to f/5.6. It is excellent at f/8 and f/11 and still very good at f/16, falling to only fair at f/22. The edges are not quite the same high standard, very good from f/3.5 to f/8, good at f/11 and fair at f/16 and f/22. With this update, it is possible to load low compression and high quality data directly to the PC without transcoding for smooth NLE(non-linear editing)
