About this deal

If you're looking for "Fat of the Land" style big-beat electronica, you won't find it here. What you will find is a gold mine of Howlett's influences from the '70s to the '90s, stuff that goes much deeper than "Firestarter". Simon Harris " Different Screams" (vocals) from BB&S Vol. 1 (1987) taken from Syl Johnson, " Different Strokes" (uncredited) (1967) Meat Beat Manifesto 'Radio Babylon'. Published by Strictly Confidential. (P) 1990 Play It Again Sam. Licensed courtesy of Play It Again Sam Records and Nothing Records Limited. I grew up - how do you call it - a megafan of The Prodigy. They were it for me, alongside the Bros. Last copies was overpriced by the closing label and sold out in August 2000. Never re-released in Poland.

Extra thanx goes out to: John Lydon, Jimmy Cauty, Bill Drummond, Mary Anne Hobbs, Martin James, Kathy (Beggars), R To The R. The Jimmy Castor Bunch 'It's Just Begun'. I guess this mix album does underline the sort of love I have for that type of music more than a Prodigy release would,” he shrugs. “I think the record kind of speaks for itself, and people will get their own ideas of what it is that I am about, and it should finally make people also understand what the band is about. Simon Harris "113 B.P.M BB&S Special Edition (Drum loop) taken from Dynamic Corvettes, " Funky Music Is the Thing" (uncredited) (1975) And even sort of putting the Sex Pistols in, those are just records I really like. I don’t have to sort of try and be a dance DJ, you know, you’ve got the Chemicals and Fat Boy Slim doing that stuff. So I felt that, what I’m about, what music I do actually like, you know, is really old school hip-hop, punk and the breaks. The type of people that will buy this record will be the people that want to know what goes on inside my head when I’m in the studio writing the music, and so that’s basically the whole idea behind it, you know.” Word Of Mouth 'King Kut'. Published by Promuse Inc/Duke Bootee Music/BMI/UK: Warner Chappell Music Ltd. (P) 1985 Arista Records Inc. (Licensed courtesy of BMG Special Marketing Europe/Arista Records Inc/BMG Entertainment International UK & Ireland). In October 1995, Liam Howlett and the rest of the Prodigy saw Oasis play Earl's Court in London. At the after-show party, Liam Gallagher approached the band, announced their ferocious live show was too much for his delicate sensibilities then declared his love for their single, 'Poison'. Which he then began to sing - very badly. Moments later, Noel Gallagher took Howlett aside and whispered his belief that the Prodigy kingpin was the only credible songwriter in dance music. As Howlett later admitted, the compliment was appreciated. Well, on the album, there's some cheeky messages to people, by the use of certain lyrics and certain bands." Young punk-ass teenager in his first shitbox of a car, just driving around without a freakin' care in the world. Dirtchamber' may be not be cutting-edge but it's a mix full of nooks and crannies and one you'll want to play long after Norman Cook's 'Live From The Floor Of The Boutique' has given you a migraine. It's also accessible to those without PhDs in Bronx street culture. It seems Liam Howlett has made himself understood once and for all.
