We liked this cookbook enough where we figured it wouldn't be particularly convenient for Doug to steal my Kindle every time he wanted to select a recipe. The best thing about this book is that it is not just Beauty that grows as a character - her mother grows too. I feel that this is something of a rarity in children's literature and, as such, it was one of my favourite parts of the novel. Brian Hart Hoffman has delivered one of the best cookie cookbooks which include the chocolate chip chapter, based on his own baking style.”
