Clarol skincare contains concealers in four shades that do not aggravate or compromise skin that is prone to acne, in fact they actively help it. With Clarol concealers, concealing acne doesn’t mean having to compromise skin or prolonging breakouts. Clarol treats acne in a very different way to all other acne products. It doesn't fight the acne itself, instead it enforces the skin's natural acne defences. This change in approach can often mean the skin has a period of readjustment, especially if you have been using acne-fighting products previously. Sebopure contains a patented natural ingredient called Pixalia made from a concentrated leaf oil extract from the Cleome Gynandra (wild mustard) plant. Pixlalia has been scientifically proven as an active preserver due to naturally derived Rutin and hydroxycinnamic acid present in the plant extract. In addition anti-bacterial agents will also reduce the effectiveness of the actual ingredient in Sebopure that works to purify the sebum.

Clarol skincare uses Pumice Stone and Rice Bran to naturally and effectively exfoliate and remove dirt and dead skin cells without damaging delicate and vulnerable skin. The final product which we were sent was Clarol Silver and Birch Exfoliating Wash.This product comes in a 75ml tube so should last a good while. As with the other 2 products sent to us, this is vegan, tested dermologically, cruelty free and made in England. It too smells gorgeous and goes on with ease. A little seems to go a long way too. I think the tube it comes in looks beautiful but it is also very informative. My daughter really likes using this product and finds it useful.

Protecting areas of skin prone to acne break outs is key to stopping break outs spreading and intensifying. I left it a short while and then proceeded to rub over my hand again to see if any residue would come off, none at all. Again, I had that soft and silky feel with no shine or oiliness. The serum dried in a matt form and was lovely. I left it on my hand for the rest of the day before placing it onto my face just in case I reacted. Thankfully I did not. That same night, I gave my face a good cleanse, tone, exfoliation and mask before I applied the serum onto my face. WOW! My skin instantly felt hydrated and decided that the first 2 nights, I was not going to put moisturiser on, just to see how my skin coped with a new product.
I woke up the next morning and was delighted that my face had not reacted and felt really soft. The second day and night, I just cleansed and toned before putting the serum on and again. Throughout the day, my skin felt hydrated and moisturised and the next morning, my skin felt lovely. It was the third and fourth day and night that I decided to put my moisturisers on too. During these days and the following mornings, my skin was looking and feeling amazing. This comes in a beautiful silver grey and purple tube. The contents of the product is 50ml and the content of the front of the tube is very high catching,

The ingredients in our Clarol range are not like ingredients in normal over the counter acne products. One of the most discomforting and unsightly problems with acne is not the formation of the acne lesion itself, it’s when the sebum in the acne lesion becomes infected. If you have a weekly or twice weekly routine of using and exfoliator and mask, make sure you use these first before applying the serum.

When starting to use Clarol products, most people report their skin temporarily getting slightly worse in the initial 2-3 weeks of use before it starts to improve. The skin tends to produce more sebum in reaction to anti-bacterial agents, which means the effects if Sebopure will be reduced if they are used at the same time. Due to the over-use of anti-bacterial agents for treating acne, many acne sufferers have developed resistance against or over sensitivity to anti-acne treatments, meaning over time they become less and less effective and more and more problematic to use.
