EB: What you’ve said there represents the whole show — that’s exactly what we wanted. Making sure that we were flippant to some extent, because otherwise people get bogged down with being too serious and then this gets criticised. We wanted it to be fun but serious in equal measure. We jokingly said she'd have to play a guy because our party was becoming a real clam-fest (we're up to 6 girls 1 guy). Essentially that's what happened with Maggie. Ry's chapters were dedicated to describing how amazing, beautiful, sexy, kind, PERFECT she was, or how her explosive diarrhea should have been bottled and used as perfume all over the world. But Maggie didn't measure up to that level of awesomeness so by the end I hated her Mary-Sue crap with a fiery passion.
