About this deal

The Grimnyr interfaced in their Fanes with the Greater Thurian Votann, asking that it communicate their plight to the wider league and begging its advice. Swift merchant craft and scout ships plunged into the Warp, bearing the same messsages to neighbouring Kindreds. Those facing the invasion would stand firm until the will of the Votann and the rest of the league could be made known, or until their defiance was judged too costly to maintain.

A great battle still lay before the Greater Thurian League and Ûthar the Destined would be needed elsewhere. However, as long as you’re careful, you shouldn’t have too many difficulties with these. We’d always recommend using some Micro Set and Micro Sol for your transfers. Take a look at Ross’ awesome How to Paint Space Wolves video from the 16-minute mark for a demonstration on how these work. Leagues of Votann Army Set – Review and Miniatures First Look – Miniatures Törg ( Kin World / Mining World) - Törg is an outlying world in Thurian space and many Terran years of deep-core tectonic mining have left Törg riven by great chasms. It is now a hostile mass of jagged stone, exposed magma veins, convulsing super-volcanoes and toxic fumes, which the Greater Thurian League's Harvester Fortresses traverse as they mine Törg's rich mineral wealth. It was one of the worlds to be caught up in the Battle of Örgvayr before Thurian reinforcements under the command of Ûthar the Destined managed to rescue the miners and much of their harvest of startegic resources. Again, they’re great. The essential, must-have, classic fantasy dwarf-ness is concentrated down and hard-boiled into every cut and corner of the design of these miniatures. If Tolkien took his mine-dwelling halflings and punted them into the furthest reaches of space, give them a few thousand years and this is what they’d end up looking like. The box looks like it will basically be a 500-point list. More or less a Combat Patrol, but with two HQs, so we’ll have to see if they just rebox it for a Combat Patrol later on or release something new. The special edition, limited release stuff is all gorgeous too: the swanky codex, the board of judgement tokens, and the nifty little set of datacards will make Warhammer gamers very, very happy.

FauxHammer – Latest Video on YouTube Leagues of Votann Army Set – Review and Miniatures First Look – Summary For Ûthar’s skin, choose Cadian Fleshtone to achieve a realistic tone. Apply it carefully over his exposed skin areas, adding a touch of humanity to his battle-hardened demeanor. So, if you’re up against some squad of vehicles, this could easily take two out with one shot. Even if you don’t upgrade it, it still has tons of shots and can take out all kinds of enemies. Weapon Profiles Even within our little FauxHammer community of playtesters, the regular Warhammerers aren’t too keen on playing against any Leagues armies due to their frightening rules. However, it’d be remiss of us not to talk about some of the controversy that has accompanied this book. It’s not the book that is the issue, more some of the rules contained within it. See, the Leagues of Votann are really, really powerful. If a unit with any Judgement tokens is removed from the battlefield (e.g. because it embarked on a TRANSPORT, is entering Strategic Reserves, etc.) make a note of how many Judgement tokens it had when it was removed. If that unit is set up on the battlefield again, place the corresponding number of Judgement tokens next to it again. Even though we’ve seen so many amazing miniatures already, there are some big surprises in that video – let’s take a closer look. Hekaton Land Fortress There are a few more bits of cleanup to perform on the Champion – again, I’ve left mine on to give you a sense of what will need to be done post-assembly. There are a few mould lines on some of the surfaces – such as the axe and the icon above his head. As you can also see, there are some quite beefy sprue gates on a few of the larger components too, so make sure you take your time to remove these with care. Hernkyn Pioneers

Exceptionally tough exo-armoured warriors equipped with a mighty array of ranged and melee weapons, Einhyr Hearthguard are the unstoppable elite of the Leagues. Have them hold the line against all comers, or teleport them into the enemy’s weakest flank and watch them wreak havoc with a withering hail of fire, fists, and fusion blades. Cthonian BeserksMove on to the armor. Coat it in a captivating blue-green shade using Caliban Green as your base coat. This sets the stage for our vibrant color scheme. The Leagues of Votann Army box set will have a decent number of new models inside, just like the Beast Snaggaz, this will be released early with the codex. For your core troops, the Warriors can really have all kinds of wargear and weapons, and their datasheet is pretty strong. Plus they are core, and again have Void Armor like the rest of the army.

That’s right, you can simply make your heavy magna-rail cannon’s hit roll into a 6… which if the target has any Judgement tokens, also makes your wound roll into a 6. That’s two 6s for the price of one, and means that unless they have a 2+ Save, they can look forward to suffering 8 to 12 Wounds – which, of course, will be spread throughout that unit should any models be slain! Otherwise, read on for everything you need to know about the Leagues of Votann – here’s what’s included:I’m a big fan of dwarves in fantasy settings, so seeing them arrive in the 41st Milennium in such style is super exciting. The Leagues of Votann Army box set will have a decent number of new models inside and just like they did the Beast Snaggaz, this will be released early with the codex.
