About this deal

I adore Iris and Dex; I'm such a softie when it comes to a grumpy alpha male who falls hard and fast. Iris is such a strong character too, so she can put Dex in his place, with his grumpy self. It’s not Grumpy Sunshine because they are both grumpy. I love all of these books very much, but the banter in love is the best. They are iconically funny together. They do not get along at all, but you get crumbs of them throughout the entire book, and you start to see that evolve. The figure skating aspect is also incredible. This is one of my best books, and it has been getting a lot of hype, as it deserves it. If you want to start with Mariana Zapata’s best books, it’s a very good one. 9. Luna and the Lie She also injects humor into her stories, which can help lighten the suspenseful atmosphere that her books create.

It follows Luna, who paints and like revamps cars. She works with cars and has a boss named Lucas Ripley, who one day tells a lie for Luna. You get to see a lot more, but I want to ensure everything is good for you. Luna is one of the sweetest main characters I’ve ever seen. Lucas Ripley is very grumpy. You get to see a lot of groveling in this book. If you are a fan of groveling, you will love it. 10. The Best Thing I glanced down at my cheap, electric blue watch to see it was four in the afternoon on the dot. "Oh. I thought I was supp Despite all the struggles that she goes through, she has managed to make it through two years without killing anybody and for that, she deserves a medal. Also, I wanna mention that this might be the only book where I really don’t mind the 24 yr heroine being a virgin. I mean, I kinda get how that would happen in her situation. Could I do without that tidbit and the double standard it usually enforces? Sure. Was it perpetuating a trend where the heroines need to be pure to be more worthy? NO. It really did make sense for her and her individual situation.I’d done boring and monotonous since the moment I turned sixteen by working at a real estate agency, then a discount bookstore, followed by sales for a weight loss pill, dog sitting, watching over kids at a daycare center, and filing at a medical practice. I did what I had to do to pay the bills. So as long as I wasn’t prostituting or having to make collection calls, I’d pretty much take whatever I could get. A funny h...She had golden nuggets of humor at certain moments. Not that common to turn this into a sorry comedy of a book. Only I hadn't anticipated a job with the infamous Dex. A man that I'd heard enough of in ten minutes to know that I wasn't exactly going to be working for the Pope. When Dex told her to button up her cardigan because she was showing a little to much collarbone(?), I wanted to reach into the book a slap him silly. Iris already dress like a sixty year old librarian. Why not just demand that she wear a burka?

It is rare I like the heroine as much as the hero in a book, but I really liked Iris, with her insults and "That's what she said" jokes and high fives. There was just something very endearing about her. Though Iris was really shy, and a beginning.. a pushover, she never did get on my nerves. Recently, I've been feeling real judgy towards heroines. I just find something that always bothers me. Thinking about it now, I don't think I was ever like that with Iris. Like a fool, and because I loved Will and I loved Sonny just as much, even if he wasn't my full-blooded brother, I fell for it. We'd dragged ourselves to Mayhem so he could welcome me into my estranged family. In these stories, Rosie Danan explores the unique dynamics found in friend-to-lovers relationships, often playing up their comedic chemistry and situations while simultaneously providing an uplifting romance between two delightfully different characters. Her stories such as Forbidden French captivate readers with their unforgettable, relatable characters and brutally honest dialogue. Why should you read Mariana Zapata’s books? Is it worth it? There are many questions readers ask me frequently. I’ll answer them now. Here are several reasons: That's not necessarily a bad thing. In lieu of a roller coaster ride, we had a slow burn. I love it when attraction gradually evolves into love. This book had the makings of something great:
