Hence, this Qur'an has been compiled to assist those who are not too familiar with the Arabic language and/or cannot read Arabic. It is therefore hoped that this presentation will be of great help and benefit in sha Allah. So, to learn it correctly and teach it correctly, we have to care about the correct pronunciation of the Arabic words. To provide ease with the correct pronunciation of the Arabic words, we are producing this special edition of the Noble Qur'an incorporating in it the transliteration of the Arabic Verses. It is hoped that this edition will help greatly in this regard.

Islam is a heavenly system (or regime) for all the dwellers of the earth, and it is a mighty treasure if only mankind realizes its authenticity and truth. And in what a great need the whole world is today for real understanding and thorough studying of its rules and regulations. And how many disasters, calamities and wars, the mankind of the whole world is suffering because of their differences in their Faith. The Quran—indeed every religious book—has to be read, not only with the tongue and voice and eyes, but with the best light that our intellect can supply, and even more, with the truest and purest light which our heart and conscience can give us. It is in this spirit that I would have my readers approach the Quran.

It may be asked: Is there any need for a fresh English translation? To those who ask this question I commend a careful consideration of the facts which I have set out in my Note on Translation. My revered father taught me Arabic, but I must have imbibed from into my innermost being something more, —something which told me that all the world’s thoughts, all the world’s most beautiful languages and literatures, are but vehicles for that ineffable message which comes to the heart in rare moments of ecstasy.If they find that I have helped them even the least bit further in understanding its meanings, or appreciating its beauty or catching something of the grandeur of the original, I would claim that my humble attempt is justified.
