About this deal

Bottles made from polypropylene have a milky transparency, are particularly sturdy and can even be used for freezing food. Baby bottles made from polyamides look the most like glass bottles as they are highly transparent. Both synthetic materials are of course BPA-free. of mothers were satisfied or very satisfied with the NUK First Choice Clinic Teat. The majority of nurses would like to continue working with the new teats. Includes Size 1 (0-6m) Latex Teat with Medium Feed Hole. Latex is softer and more flexible than silicone which can make it easier for some babies to adapt to, it is also more bite resistant Knowing exactly when baby's feed is at the right temperature can be a challenge. NUK First Choice+ baby bottles now have a built-in Temperature Control indicator located on the bottle's graduation marks that changes colour from blue to white when the bottle's contents are too hot (above the optimal feeding temperature of 37 degrees), so you can be sure your baby's milk is always at a comfortable drinking temperature. This bottle is the ideal choice for combined feeding* as the NUK orthodontic teat simulates the shape of a mother's nipple during breastfeeding which gives baby a natural and familiar drinking sensation. The innovative teat also minimises colics** thanks to the NUK Anti-Colic Air System that ensures a natural flow to help your baby drink without swallowing air.

MAM teats come in three varieties: Non-Vented All Ages, Vented Newborn, and Vented All Ages. These teats are all considered ‘medium flow’. All teats have a small ‘dimple’ in the side, and in Vented teats there is a small slit in this dimple to help with the elimination of extra air during feeding. If you’re using vented teats, make sure to keep the vent on the top as these teats will badly leak otherwise. The difference between newborn and all ages sizes can be seen above.

The hole plays an important role too – in NUK Teats it is slightly offset. This means the milk mixes with the saliva and is more easily digested. Your baby doesn’t want a soother? That’s also quite normal. Never force your child to accept a soother. NUK Silicone Teats are made from a high-quality synthetic material. The clear silicone material is easily cleaned and highly heat-resistant. Even direct sunlight or edible fats do not age the material. Silicone teats have a neutral taste and smell. However, silicone is slightly less bite and tear-resistant than latex. For this reason, NUK also uses firmer, more bite-resistant silicone material for the size 3 teat. Should a silicone teat have even small bite marks or other signs of damage, it should be replaced immediately. For reasons of hygiene and safety, it is generally recommended to replace all teats – whether latex or silicone – after 1-2 months.

Generally speaking, all teats, whether they are made of silicone or latex, should be replaced every 1 to 2 months. Teat size - What teat size do you want to use? Generally, most bottles come with a slow flow teat suitable for newborns, with babies generally moving to faster flow teats as their tummies get bigger. If you are breastfeeding and have a particularly fast let-down, your baby may prefer a faster flowing teat which requires them to work less hard for their dinner! For restful nights, our range also includes models with a light-up effect. The glow-in-the-dark material allows your baby to find its cup all by itself and therefore promotes independent drinking. All you have to do is put the NUK cup in the light for a while. The special material stores the light energy and emits it as a soft glow for up to eight hours. The cute cup design is not only pretty to look at, but also extremely robust. So if the learner cup does fall onto the floor, that's no problem. The BPA-free polypropylene (PP) that our NUK cups are made of is strong and can withstand a fall from a high chair without any problems. Drinking cups & bottles in different shapes and designsScientists from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) 2 examined this hypothesis and assessed relevant international studies from the years 1966 to 2004.

Tip: If you would rather take a look at our glass baby bottles and find out more about them, go to our Baby Glass Bottles category. Rinse the soother with water if it is dirty. NUK Soother Chains or Ribbons are also practical, as a soother can then be attached to your child’s clothes. Now the soother definitely won´t fall on the floor again or get lost. NUK offers baby bottles made out of the synthetic materials polypropylene (PP) andpolyamides (PA). They are particularly light and nearly unbreakable and with that, optimally-suited for use both at home and out and about. As every material has its individual advantages and disadvantages, we offer a selection of robust baby drinking bottles made of glass as well as baby drinking bottles made of high-quality polypropylene (PP) and polyamide (PA), naturally free of BPA. The lightweight and unbreakable plastic material of the NUK baby drinking bottles is a good choice when on the go and promotes the learning effect when drinking, as the little ones can easily hold the weight of the bottle themselves without any danger. Baby bottles made of polyamide are highly transparent and come visually closer to the glass bottle. Baby bottles made of polypropylene, on the other hand, can be frozen and heated in the microwave. The teat should always be completely full of milk while feeding. Burping is also important after bottle or breastfeeding.Using them for longer than this can lead to problems. Your baby may become used to the swollen size of the teats and find it difficult to use new teats, as they are not available in larger sizes. It can also be dangerous, as small tears will start to form in the delicate latex and make these teats harder to properly sterilise. Note: If searching online or elsewhere for “Dr. Brown’s Bottles” be aware that Infant Paced Feeding Valves are only included with “Dr. Brown’s Specialty Feeding System” also known as “Dr. Brown’s Zero Resistance Feeding System” bottles and are not included with any other type of Dr. Brown’s bottle such as “Options” or “Anti-Colic” bottles. Note: Bottles should not be handled/ scrubbed (outside surface) or wiped with a cloth until they have fully cooled down (if using steam or microwave to sterilize) as it will lead to the ink coming off the bottles. With excessive sterilization and/or rough scrubbing of the exterior of the bottle, the ink on some Dr Brown’s bottles may peel or fade over time. Independent market research among 205 mothers, Germany 2018. (99% of the mothers confirmed that the NUK First Choice+ Control bottle does not cause colic).
