About this deal

I'm not sure I agree with you. All images and video's I've found of (standard) Sand Vipers look the same as mine (wheels, suspension, body mount etc). But hey - it'll be fun cleaning it up and replacing/upgrading bits as I go Enjoy. The DT-02 is a great chassis for the money - my 9-year old son and I have had lots and lots of fun with it! Grooved front tires provide accurate steering while the spiked rear tires ensure excellent traction on any surface, Introducing Tamiya s newest release on the DT-02 chassis, Sand-Viper! This 1/10 scale 2WDassembly off-road buggy continues in the vein of our successful Desert Gator buggy, but willfeature an all-new body and wing shape, together with dish type wheels. Versatile andreliable DT-02 chassis features transverse mounted Type RS540 motor and 4-wheel doublewishbone suspension. Full ball bearings ensure maximum efficiency and a long-life of dirt tearingaction!

With the DT-02 chassis, Tamiya has successfully combined thrilling performance with user-friendliness, making it the perfect entry point into the world of RC cars. Not a fan of the Holiday Buggy (purely from an aesthetics point of view), but the Tamiya Sand Viper looks awesome! The following describes how I took this entry level car to a competent club racer. There are a range of tips and guides that you can follow to modify your car. Differential gear gearbox is fully sealed from dirt and stones, ensuring a long life of smooth handling.

The edgy, stylish body is made from durable, lightweight polycarbonate and its yellow paint scheme provides a great match for the gray-colored dish wheels.

The Tamiya Sand Viper from our great range of radio controlled buggies continues in the vein of our successful Desert Gator buggy but will feature an all new body and wing shape together with dish type wheels (planned). The Tamiya Sand Viper radio control buggy has the Versatile and reliable DT-02 chassis featuring transverse mounted Type RS540 motor and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension. I'm completely new to the world of RC bar having a few pre-built standard RC cars when I was a kid.

What type of R/C car is this?

Desert Gator body - much better at keeping dirt and water out of the chassis than the Super Figther I will agree with SteelRat here. DT02 is a great value basher 2WD buggy. The final drive ratio of the DT02 is the same as the DT01, so the same motor combination will work fine. The double wishbone suspension of the DT02 makes it handle heaps better than the DT01 ever will. There's very little that will go wrong with a DT02 provided you use a steel pinion. Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive ●Tread: (Front & Rear) 216mm/208mm ●Diff. Gear: 3-bevel diff. ●Steering Tie Rod: 2-piece
