About this deal

Helps to fade the hyper-pigmentation. Sun spots, melasma, age spots, and other types of hyper-pigmentation are the result of excess production of melanin. No7 toner application hinders the production of melanin and therefore helps to fade dark spots. Hyaluronic acid - powerful moisture-binding ingredient that can hold up to 1000x its weight in water, proven to hydrate skin, retains moisture and prevents moisture loss with reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Get that radiant skin you've always wanted with No7's Radiance+ Moisturiser. It illuminates dull and tired looking skin, for a burst of hydration, day after day. For an instantly brighter looking complexion and skin that feels nourished. As is quite common among luxury brands, Murad doesn’t market its products with percentages (the same goes for its retinol products), so there’s no precise way of knowing how it compares to the No7 vitamin C content beyond its effects. Vitamin C does sit slightly lower in the list of ingredients than it does in the No7 formulation (the lower down the list it is, the less of an ingredient is included), but given that there are far more ingredients in the Murad formula, this isn’t surprising. The vitamin C here is ascorbic acid – sometimes called L-ascorbic acid – and is the form that has the most skincare-related research behind it. In a first for the skincare market, Murad has stabilised this with actual gold. While we can’t speak to how effective this actually is in preserving potency, we do enjoy seeing an ingredient list that simply includes “gold”.

The toner comes loaded with the goodness of Aloe Vera, Cucumber, Willow bark extract, and many other hardworking ingredients. If there is anything we’ve learned from high street beauty in the few last years, it’s that effective skincare doesn’t need to break the bank. Affordable skincare truly exploded in 2022 and we're predicting the same for 2023. Shop shelves lined with a roster of innovative ingredients and high-performance formulas at accessible, inclusive price points. For No7 skincare, which has been a trusted (and fairly costed) beauty brand since its launch in 1935, making skincare excellence accessible to all is nothing new. But for a straightforward way to introduce vitamin C into your routine with visible skin improvement and without spending a small fortune, No7 takes the crown. Whether you’re looking to minimise signs of ageing, relieve dry skin or restore your radiance, the No7 skincare range has got you covered. Ginseng Root - boosts skin hydration, diminishes rough texture, helps fade uneven skin tone, and visibly improve wrinkles by working within skin to bolster its natural firmness.

The verdict: Murad vs No7 vitamin C serum

Citric Acid - works by exfoliating the upper layer of dead skin cells to help clean pores, even skin tone and soften and smooth the skin.

Vitamin C - supports the production of healthy collagen that brightens the complexion and boosts skin’s firmness.
