About this deal

Two versions of the Cybermen exist. The primary versions originated from both the near-human-inhabited planet Mondas, who gradually removed their limbs and emotions, deeming them to be needless in the wake of an increasingly hostile planet when Mondas was ripped from their twin world Earth's orbit. The Mondasian Cybermen eventually returned to Earth in 1986, intending on converting the human race since their ability to expand via reproduction had long been removed along with gender. But they were thwarted by the First Doctor and his companions Ben and Polly, resulting in Mondas exploding and destroying the Cybermen of Mondas. Unfortunately, the Cybermen had already colonized other planets, leading to an increasing array of Cyberfactions with strengthened abilities and less humanity than ever. Eventually, one faction deemed the icy world of Telos to be suitable to be the new Cyber Home World, killing the native Cryons and building a vast array of tombs to place themselves in stasis for extended periods. One tomb was disturbed by a party of archaeologists, along with the Second Doctor and his companions Jamie and Victoria. Whilst the Cybermen were, in essence, all identical, the concept of a leading figure was deemed logical, leading to the creation of the computerized Cyberplanner, the semi-emotional Cyberleader and leading the Cybermen, the Cyber Controller. Now you may say "But Dimensions characters ARE recognizable", which is true, but they're not novel. The Lego franchises of Chima, Ninjago, The Lego Movie and already available IPs like DC Superheroes, Simpsons, LOTR, Scooby Doo and Jurassic World(even BTTF and Ghostbusters to some extent) are not minifigs you can't already get or already might have. This makes up roughly 90% or more of all Dimensions products. Also a lot of these franchises don't hold a candle to Disney or Nintendo in terms of popularity. I think it's not so much that Dimensions is losing interest, but that "toys to life" is on a downswing in general, and Lego's marketing model kind of goes against what makes these get virally popular in the first place, namely the collectability/exclusivity, and in the case of Infinity or Amiibo, recognizable characters/franchises.

Description LEGO 71238 Doctor Who Cyberman and Dalek Set out on time-traveling adventures with Cyberman from Doctor Who!There are features of both designs which I like but I think the model from 21304 Doctor Who is the best. The shaping and scale are a little more faithful to the source material and I favour the method of mounting the weaponry on the earlier one. Overall Funnily enough, despite the Cybermen's ability to fly in the two-part story 'Dark Water'/'Death in Heaven,' neither the PC Cyberman nor the NPC Cyberman have this ability. It is the only character with the Underwater Drone Mazes Ability. Several vehicles also have this ability, but all were introduced in Year 2.

If you touch a Gold object whilst playing as the Cyberman, it takes damage. This is a reference to the vulnerability the Cybermen had to gold in the classic series of Doctor Who.

There is likely to be a lot of existing material that game developers TT could draw on for a LEGO Doctor Who game, considering the add-ons that featured in LEGO Dimensions. For the more recent Doctor, I propose Tennant, or maybe Capaldi, who is the latest incarnation. For the other I propose the 4th Doctor Tom Baker, and possibly Sara Jane as his companion.
