For the most part, I'm annoyed that I don't get to see any growth from Rina Kent as a writer. Her stories and her writing are so trite and there are so many of them already that each time I find it more and more difficult to draw comfort from her mainstream, mediocre content. I think I finally reached the point where familiarity breeds contempt. i found it hilarious how the one common ground between Adrian and Creighton is the jealousy/dislike they feel for Yan bc of how close Lia and Annika are to him. 🤣 It really feels like authors just press copy and paste when it comes to describing their anti-heroes:RK has never been very articulate in her prose, but lately all these clichéd analogies, metaphors and phrases are so overabundant that they force me to skim half of the book. I've been looking forward to Annika's and Creigh's book ever since reading book 1 in this series and it did not disappoint. This book was super spicy and steamy... it was HOT!

is intrigued by Creighton and even though he warns her to stay away, she is still drawn to him and his I loved how everyone doted on Creighton tho KAHDJDHD it’s the cutest shit ever. When they get jealous over who he spends time with 🤧💞 Eli and landon being clingy mofos makes me so happy and giddy they’re ADORABLE 🥹 I had been so desperate for Anni’s story because her parents are my favorite Rina couple ever, but then she goes and pairs Anni with another favorite couple’s son- and while our prior pair had some of the worst of their parents’ characteristics, these two ended up more with soft and tender hearts of their mothers’. This couple is everything! A sweet, grumpy sunshine on the surface with a more hidden submissive-sadist connection - they are so delicious! The chemistry is just so great- I love how they bring each other out in their own ways. Creighton makes Anni more independent and brave and self-assured, and she makes him feel lighter and more content. And I love the juxtaposition of their world and their sexual tastes with actually how innocent and sweet their relationship is. Like she’s so in love with him and so vulnerable about it, and he’s so obsessed with her and over the top and it’s kinda sweet and super swoony. They are just SO endearing and compelling together. I love to see his relationship with Eli, and seeing exactly how they interact was the cherry of this cake. All this hypothetical stories and possible plots just started building in my mind and now I can’t stop thinking about Eli and Ava, Jeremy and Cecile and Brandon and Nikolai.Creighton. Creighton has his own demons from his past that he is battling and wants to avenge. Annika Just like the other time, it seems that whenever he punishes me, something inside him claws to the surface. First I like to announce that I have a love and hate relationship with Rina’s books! She always destroys me with her stories and her capacity of making the unthinkable connections. also... ADRIAN'S APPEARANCE WHEN HE PUT A GUN BEHIND AIDEN'S HEAD?? I LITERALLY FREAKED OUT, GOODBYE. i love Adrian so much. <3

The Hero: Creighton King - He is the adopted son of British powerhouses Aiden King and Elsa Steel. He loves his family but feels that something is missing in him. It happened when he was three years old and saw his real parents massacred in front of him. He has deviant tastes and dark desires. He rarely speaks and is determined to find out what happened to his biological family. I guess being Adrian’s (which is my favorite) daughter I knew she would be more like Lia, since Jeremy is his carbon copy, but never in my wildest thoughts I would think she would be like that. Annika surprised me in the best way possible. I am so in love with her, that I wanted keep her to myself. We do not get anything from Mia which means nothing from her and Landon. Landon does cause a lot of problems though. You win, little purple....All of me. My heart, body, and soul are yours. My grudge is also yours to do whatever you wish with.... “I lost to you a long time ago. I love you, Annika. I love you to the point I see darkness without you and light only when I’m with you. You’re my sanctuary and the one person who makes me whole.” ❞ MINEMINEMINE. I love it in my books. Please stake your claim early, thank you very much💅. I also loooove when he MMC gets crazy jealousit was fast-paced, addictive and so fun. this is what the first book was missing. so even if i found the plot twists convoluted and pretty dumb, id take that over being bored, so. just the whole book was just a rollercoaster of emotions— i couldn’t put it down, and ever time i had to i got super pissy at the people around me. i miss this messy unhinged version of Rina, please stay for the remainder of the series🥺🥺 ily. The side characters didn't miss too, and I could literally sell my soul to read about them right now.

Cray cray and Anoushka welcome to the whipped clubbed because these two took depraved and obsessed to a whole new level. Sadism. Masochism. Dominant. Submissive. We’ve got it all. I can definitely say that this series will be my new obsession. I love grumpy and sunshine trope, so I was really excited about Annika and Creighton's story. I really liked creig's voice especially when he says small purple, I'm not going to lie and I'm going to confess that I didn't like the voice of the actress who plays annika, not that the actress doesn't do a good job because yes she's amazing more for feeling that doesn't suit annika. You know Creighton was clueless on how he felt about her when he showed up in her room after that attempted arson and touched her face. How he thought she wasn’t in his thoughts before is beyond me? As she never misses, she doesn’t hit his heart and he recover but she is ousted by his family and friends and Adrian my darling comes to the UK to take her away. Where he has a showdown with Aiden. I know Aiden is a psycho, but Adrian is worse in my eyes. In a fight who would win? For me it’s Adrian no doubt.I didn’t notice the post-colon title until writing this review; it is not just a “Legacy of Gods” book, but God of Pain is also a “grumpy sunshine college romance.” It makes it sound a bit sweeter than it actually is, and lord knows that Cray Cray was portrayed as a nearly mute grunter in the last book, so I was pleased to see he had a bit more going on than just Oscar living in the trash can in his head…. So let's go to the review, I swear what I have to say is that I didn't expect anything that happened that was the best part of me that book was intense and made me cry. I grab him by the collar and use the last breaths in my lungs to choke out, “T-tell…Mum and…Dad…t-that I-I’m sorry…”
