If you haven't read book 1, please, stop reading right now. I don't wanna spoil this amazing story for you :) ** Okay, I will not explain the story behind this book because it’s the exactly same one than the first one. If you haven’t read it yet, I advise you to do it faster.

The depth of this character is immense. Your heart will ache for him in ways you never imagined. This is Holder telling his story, not simply retelling Sky’s story. It’s new, it’s intense and at times overwhelming in the emotions it elicited from me. Holders voice is staggering. It’s real and it’s raw. I can honestly say I’ve found the only other person in this world who understands my guilt. The only other person who understands my pain. The only person who accepts that it’s who I am. I used to think the best part of me died with Les, but the best part of me is standing right here in front of me.The last thing I feel like doing tonight is going out. I know Daniel would probably get my mind off her with all the crazy shit that comes out of his mouth, but I don’t really want to get my mind off her. I haven’t spoken to her since Monday and the only thing that sounds appealing besides being with her is wallowing alone in self-pity. She doesn’t even tell me it’ll be okay when every single ounce of whatever was left inside my chest is propelled out of me the moment I realize that the very best part of me is dead. I cried through it and after it. But I also laughed. Out loud, at times as that trademark Ms Hoover wit is brought to the forefront once again. Do not even get me started on the first non-kiss. Oh lord, who knew dry humping and NOT kissing was so freaking hot! I just LOVE IT! I’ll say it again, I LOVE Colleen Hoover’s writing. I want to go into my kitchen right now and force husband to make me dinner, just so I can make-out with him or have him grope me.

How he falls in love with Sky, for the girl she is now, and not because she’s Hope, the girl he searches since he was a kid. You all know what comes after that, cute but absolutey hot moments, also completely heartbreaking, that keep you hooked until the very end. And being able to get to know what's in Holder's head in those moments, believe me, it's PRICELESS. It's been a while since I read Hopeless, and that went in my favor when reading this book. Because it had been almost 2 years since reading the first book, reading from Holder's point of view was a fresh perspective and didn't feel like a reread of a book I already read. When she doesn’t respond, I sigh and look up at the ceiling. If she’s on the phone with him, I’ll be pissed. But if she’s on the phone with him, it probably means he’s telling her the break-up was all my fault and she’ll be the one who’s pissed. I wipe my palms on my shorts and open the door to her bedroom, preparing for another heated lecture on how I need to mind my own business.

Not only does she get me and not only is she smiling at me; but she just somehow gave me the one word I've been searching for since the moment I laid eyes on her in the grocery store. Initial reaction: Honestly, I'm feeling rather gutted and not in a constructive way with "Losing Hope". Holder's account, noted against Sky's, does retread a lot of ground in the story to the point of where in places it feels repetitive (much like Jamie McGuire's "Walking Disaster" did with Travis being in the primary seat versus Abby.). And as perfect as that word sounds, as perfectly as it describes the point we're at, I know it's a lie. There are a few new insights to things that happened that added to the story. I'm not sure how I feel about Holder not being told. The last letter made me laugh and it was left open for ...."possibilities" which is always a good thing!
