I have been waiting for this audiobook since I listened to the Twisted City duet by Ria Wilde and was first introduced to the characters of Kingston and his sister Isobel. To say I was intrigued by these characters would have been quite the understatement, and this audiobook was everything I hoped for and more!

Isobel is a great character. She's completely damaged and so it's hard at first to really relate to her but as we get glimpses into her time being held hostage we are able to form a better view of why she is who she is and why she does what she does. He cannot afford distractions and avoids having anyone in his life that can be a weakness to him and be used against him. Kingston Heart is the Heart of London, he is out to protect the one person in the world that he adores and that’s his sister but he meets Eleanor, there instant attraction and lust for each other was just that but ATLAS, the Heart of London has other plans for her.. he uses her to his own advantage. King is out for revenge for his sister Isobel and the amazing spice/steam and the twisted turns of events!! El is afraid for her best friend Tate who has disappeared and crosses paths with King. There is so much unfolding that it grips you in a way that makes it all fuzzy and throbbing in the right places. Alone and not strong enough to carry out her plan Eleanor is in danger. With King gone will there be any chance that she will survive?I made a vow to my sister that the people who harmed her all those years ago would pay, and the only currency I would accept was their lives. This Series can be read as a standalone, however the plot is left at a slight cliffhanger. This couple does have a HEA. Then he meets Eleanor, and he’s instantly captivated by her, by she, unknowingly, works for the enemy.

And Isobel? Isobel shows us that it’s ok to be messed up, that all trauma doesn’t heal “right”, that it’s ok to accept your monsters if they accept the new you too. I loved the push and pull between Hunter and Isobel. Hunter was an interesting character. His dynamic definitely intrigued me the most. As for Isobel, I loved her strength and resilience the most. She went through so many hardships at a young age. I loved how it made her stronger and a fighter. I loved how everything played out. I loved how there was a bonus epilogue too. It was so good. Highly recommend the audio! Mr. Arden as Hunter is absolutely spectacular. If I hadn't gotten hooked by the prologue, the growl in chapter four definitely sealed my fate. This is one of my favorite performances by him this year. His ability to make his voice fit with the character, keep pace, and deliver the emotional impact of what Hunter is, left me wanting more. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention how well he played the side characters, because it was phenomenal. The narration was so well done. Joe Arden is a fan favorite, and his narration in this book was AMAZING!! I am now on a mission to find more books with his voice diction of Kingston (you will love that guy a well). I am not as familiar with Zara Hampton-Brown but she is now on a short list of finding more books. The acting was well done and really felt like you were there in the story and not being read to. The production choices of how it was sliced together and pacing was perfect. For three years Isobel has been out for revenge and finally the man the broke her and turned her into what she is now is within reach. It's time to end him and maybe find some sort of peace. No matter the peace he used to provide her with he's not the hero in her story he's only one of the villains destined to break her.

I am OBSESSED with Hunter. He is the most ruthless villain, yet I’d want him for myself as much as Isobel! The chemistry between these two are what people can only imagine. Their obsession for one another deadly. Isobel is as much as a bad*ss as Hunter, the two of them the perfect storm. Except, for Hunter, he wasn't willing to accept anything less than complete, and utter possession of me. Overall, I LOVED THIS BOOK. I cannot recommend it enough. It was such an inclusive and complete story, and it was nice seeing Flynn and Bennett again even though I haven't finished their story yet. This was one of my favorite contemporaries of all-time, and I will definitely be continuing on in this series!! I can't say why this is a 4 star story instead of 5 star without a spoiler but let's just say - I don't love what Isobel and Hunter do to Kingston in the end. The development between these two characters was done so well. We learn the history of the two of them along with their story In present day. It helps you understand both sides of what they went through, and will give you a soft side for Hunter.

Eleanor was the perfect match for Kingston. She is strong and determined to find answers and will always go out of her way to help those she can. She doesn’t blindly accept what she’s told and I love that she was sweet, yet not a doormat. She was relatable and some of her reactions had me laughing out loud. This beautiful, inked, criminal wanted to protect and shield me. He wanted a family with me. He wanted a life with me, and I wanted one with him.La historia empezó bien, tenía suspenso, drama y algunos giros que me mantuvieron leyendo. El protagonista quería vengar a su hermana y acabar con las cabezas que dirigían el tráfico de mujeres y quiénes le hicieron daño, después estaba la protagonista que de pronto se mete en el peligroso y violento mundo del crimen organizado cuando su mejor amiga desaparece y sospecha que su jefe tiene que ver con su desaparición. Así que me sonaba emocionante y quería ver cómo todo esto se iba a desarrollar.
