We honour and love nature as much as we appreciate and thank every customer. We work with local providers to source quality, seasonal ingredients as much as we possibly can. We seek to promote a balanced lifestyle for our customer base with the accessibility and ease of eating vegan. We're honoured to partner with Greener Greens, which supplies us with microgreen leaves, grown on Frenchay Campus. Signature dish

After undergoing a rigorous judging process, RHS judges awarded garden designers with medals (Gold, Silver-Gilt, Silver and Bronze) on the official opening day.French cusine is a flavour at The Widl Kitchen because in the nineties Lucia ran a cafe/restaurant in Languedoc with two friends from art school. The rural life immediately invoked a connection to the land as they cooked food from 'Le terroir" . Her unlikely mentor, was a botanist and war veteran called 'Juju' , Julien. Every morning he came to the cafe with his arms full of plants for us to experiment which ignited Lucia's spark as a 'forager chef'. She embraced adding nature directly to the cooking pot with the seasons infusing everthing. Creativity flourished; The Wild Kitchen's visuals; aesthetics and art feature stongly. Artists have a way of seeing differently and responding sensitively to material; this has helped with the interpretation and cooking of wild food. Le Cafe du Livre became an international success featured in The New York Times . The developed design called the ‘WildTable’ is now available in four sizes (for 4, 6, 8 or 12 people) which allow charcoal or wood to be burned under a central firebox with a glass lid in the centre of the table and a flume which draws away the smoke. All tables can come with a clever ‘skilt’ around the edge of the table, which acts as a kind of table skirt and keeps your legs warm, whatever the weather. Best Construction Award (Sanctuary Garden): Out of the Shadows designed by Kate Gould, built by Kate Gould Gardens

Lulu Urquhart and Adam Hunt's A Rewilding Britain Landscape won Best in Show, marking the second year in a row that first-time designers have taken the top prize, while Kate Gould won Best Sanctuary Garden for Out of the Shadows. Meanwhile, The Perennial Garden 'With Love', designed by Richard Miers, scooped the coveted People's Choice Best Show Garden Award. Best Balcony / Container Garden People's Choice winner: Wild Kitchen Garden designed by Ann Treneman He found the best artisan local producers, such as for our light and fluffy long-fermented bread, tender and moist lokše, and grass-fed goat cheese. He also started to develop the restaurant’s own garden for the freshest produce possible. As well, we use the abundance of nature around us through foraging wild plants.

Cooking with fire.

Utensils, from double-handled chopping boards to cleavers and glass cloches, are a pleasure to handle: purposeful, not too refined. “There’s a sweet spot before it becomes so domesticised and safe that it loses its primordial intention. You want to feel a little bit out in the woods and in with nature,” Ritchie says. Flanked by the nature of the Small Carpathian hills and full of history, Modra was chosen as the location for the new restaurant. The town has a long history of viticulture and is a hub of new winemakers focusing on producing high-quality Slovak wines. Martin saw the potential of pairing quality local wine with quality local gastronomy. Located in what was originally a coopering workshop (for making wooden barrels), Wild Kitchen blends tradition with new ideas in its architecture, food, and customer approach. Our open kitchen allows you to see not only your food being prepared but also the people cooking it. You’ll remember the The Gentlemen grill table from the scene where tabloid journalist Fletcher joins Ray in his garden and share banter around the outdoor grill table. Fletcher is very impressed by Ray’s BBQ set-up and comments on how cleverly it “heats up your knees and cooks at the same time!”.

There were 39 gardens at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, made up of 13 Show Gardens, 12 Sanctuary Gardens, four Balcony Gardens, five Container Gardens, four All About Plants gardens and one Feature Garden (unjudged) – but which garden design won Gold, Best in Show and the People's Choice award? The outdoor grill table and marquee-like tent which featured in Ritchie’s action-comedy The Gentlemen caused a bit of a stir when the film hit our screens in 2019. The ‘fire table’ prototype design which featured in the film has now been revised and developed, and is available for your own garden. This isn’t the first time this outdoor kitchen has graced our screens. It was also featured in The Gentlemen and in fact the Director, Guy Ritchie has an obsession with outdoor cooking and has personally owned over 30 different BBQs. You can read more about that in our article ‘ The Gentlemen outdoor grill table is now available for your own garden‘. We've compiled every single garden from the Chelsea Flower Show 2022 right here – it's sure to give you lots of inspiration – and you can also see the winners for each garden category. The WildTable is a luxury outdoor kitchen that comes in a number of sizes and configurations with seating from four to twelve. The WildTable 12, the largest size, is an outdoor cooking unit with two connected fireboxes that generate maximum heat and light, the dual fireboxes produce embers that allow you to turn lunch into dinner. You don’t have to worry about running out of fuel in the middle of cooking either, as one box can be used to prepare the embers while the other is used for cooking. Nifty.Having experienced this gorgeous bit of kit first hand, Film and Furniture can certainly see how these barbeque grills make a superb addition to any garden or outdoor restaurant as they bring people together in an interactive way to cook and enjoy food. The closest to the prototype version in The Gentlemen film is the ‘Aspirational Caveman 12’ which includes the ‘WildTable 12’. This, the largest WildTable with two fireboxes seats 12 people, making it ideal for bigger occasions. It’s basically a grand outdoor cooker that makes it simple to grill, fry, roast and steam – all on one artisanal table. Once everyone is suitably full of foodie delights, the ‘WildTable’ acts as a wood burning stove to keep you warm into the evening. This edition includes the table itself, cooking tools and other accessories. In 2011 Lucia wrote, Eating Flowers an illustrated cook bookto connect children with hedgerow food. However, adults were even more keen for forgotten foraging knowlege so The Wild Kitchen was founded in 2012 offering coastal foraging days with 'free-food' dining in Kent; 'the garden of England'. Martin Plastiak founded the restaurant with this simple but ambitious concept upon returning to Slovakia after over 20 years of working in the USA. Cooking in elite kitchens abroad, he wanted to bring the same level of quality ingredients to the Slovak food scene.
