About this deal

The journey begins with 5150, Van Halen's seventh studio album and the band's first to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200. Certified platinum six times in the U.S., the record treated fans to hits like "Dreams," "Love Walks In," and "Why Can't This Be Love," which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group returned two years later with OU812, a quadruple-platinum smash that delivered four Billboard Hot 100 hits, including "Finish What Ya Started" and "When It's Love." Magical Unicorn Somewhat true. Ed technically was so different from other players. Hendrix wasn't a cited influence, so hard to say he built on Hendrix' style. What I appreciate about both players is the innovation.... The journey begins with 5150, Van Halen’s seventh studio album and the band’s first to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200. Certified platinum six times in the U.S., the record treated fans to hits like “Dreams,” “Love Walks In,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love,” which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group returned two years later with OU812, a quadruple-platinum smash that delivered four Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “Finish What Ya Started” and “When It’s Love.” And as his playing evolved from album to album and tour to tour, so did Alex’s setup. Usually going for higher-pitched toms and ultra-deep bass drums, he would often experiment with different gear and technology to bring something new to the table. Incorporating Rototoms, timbales, cowbells, tube drums, and electronics, Alex spares no expense when it comes to finding the right equipment to achieve the sounds that are in his head. THE COLLECTION II concludes with Studio Rarities 1989-2004, an exclusive compilation that assembles eight gems from the Hagar era for the first time. Among these rarities is "Crossing Over," the B-Side to Balance's "Can't Stop Lovin' You," and the band's only non-album B-side.Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B, Variant 7): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 B X D 1-23985-B SH8 SLM Δ 5872-X 1-2 6 Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A, Variant 1): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 A2 x 1-23985-A SH 9 12 SLM Δ 5872 1-2 Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A, Variant 4): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 AX 1-23985-A SH 8 12 SLM Δ 5872 1-2 87 S I like Sammy solo stuff but to me he changed Van Halen for the worse and they started writing about love in a positive way (blah!). I’ll admit that for the first three albums I quite enjoyed the singles when I was growing up…but the full albums had so much filler (in my opinion). Sammy is a hell of a singer but it always sounded like he was boxed in on a style that Eddie wanted him to sing. In other words, it sounded contrived.
