About this deal

The box sets have something for everyone, from the manga fans who just enjoy enjoying the art, to the hardcore fair-weather aficionados. If your diving into this beautiful series then just know that this is only the beginning of the story. We don't get any real answers for big questions here, and it leaves us on a hell of a cliffhanger. It all leads into the sequel; Tokyo Ghoul: Re, which I'm currently reading, and loving!

There were times that it felt like the plot depended on characters not using any common sense, which can be frustrating. Our favourite couple FINALLY finally finally develop a relationship worthy of crying and writing about. The longing, the pining, the wait was so long but so worth it. I can only hope to have a relationship as resilient as that one. The wedding, the bite-mark, the companionship, the love.... The way Touka was the name that brought Kaneki out of his dismembered misery. The way Touka was the first face that came to his mind when thinks of who he lives for. I feel like crying every time I think about Kaneki and Touka. Really cool fight scenes. Like really, really cool. I would love to see how they animated the Kagune fights. From the beginning till the end "the world is cruel" is stated many times and there are several incidents which proved this. The story in itself started out simple and as it grew so does it complexity, and coming to the artwork, i was flabbergasted, it is just pure pleasure to the eyes, although sometimes it becomes too abstract to understand what is going on, but one could clearly see how Sui Ishida became better and better with each volume, with the final volume containing some of the best pieces of art i have ever seen in any manga, i'm a hardcore fan of Berserk and Vagabond, so i generally don't expect much in terms of art, but Tokyo Ghoul proved me wrong.Ken's descent into Ghoul-hood was both fascinating and horrifying to watch. There's just something about a character fighting against their nature and pursuing the "right" path above all else that fascinates me. While that may still sound like a lot, it is nothing compared to the hundreds you would spend when getting each volume separately. Digital goods, open DVDs and Blu-rays, smart art prints, mystery bundles, and final sale items are excluded from the return policy.

The thing I look be the most of manga, more so than the anime adaptions for the most part, is they have so much more context and world building. Little moments with secondary characters and layout descriptions really give you more of it all, and in turn makes the whole experience that much greater. I hate to be one of those guys, but for me it's definitely manga>anime. To carry the burden that Kaneki carried before he turned into a ghoul was already taxing. He was an orphan with a relative who didn't care about him. But once Kaneki decided to shoulder the burden of essentially the entire 20th ward, he turned into a tragedy-just-waiting-to-happen. Ken Kaneki is living a pretty normal life; he loves books and hanging out with his best friend. But when an accident happens that leaves him half-ghoul and half-human, he must figure out how to survive in both worlds. edit: Mutsuki and Urie deserved more. Definitely. In my head, they got together within the 6 years after the dragon war. You can't change my mind.As I was reading Tokyo Ghoul re, I kept thinking that series 1 was much better. Re had sooo many new characters that I didn’t find myself caring about, in fact many of them annoyed me. The story was also more confusing than part 1 and I kept reading, waiting for the story to get exciting again. With that, I hereby place Tokyo Ghoul and Kaneki Ken in the annals of Anoushka's loves and to-be-read-again masterpieces. We didn't delve quite as deeply into the philosophical questions Tokyo Ghoul presented as much as I wanted to.

When it comes to collecting all of the amazing stories that Masashi Kishimoto created with his beloved series, Naruto, nothing can even compare to the collection that can be acquired through these amazing box sets! I read this manga because my sister recommended it to me. (Actually she said not to read it because it was violent and graphic, but she kept talking about it so I had to read it).Plus, this box set doesn’t even count in any of the other books and merchandise that’s also part of the Naruto universe – so all in all, this saving is just the tip of the iceberg. Ayato also had a great character arc and I really enjoyed his character in re. He seemed like a totally different person than that lost, rebellious boy who treated his sister bad. When he called kaneki his brother! (I was so scared he would die for kaneki so his sister wouldn’t lose her husband). And I ship him and Hinami (I assume they were together at the end). As a fan of the series, myself, I must admit that these box sets are the best way to collect the entirety of the series at a reasonable price.
