About this deal

If you are looking for a budget meal, consider trying one of the falafel restaurants along Rue de Rosiers. The most famous spot is L’As du Falafel. We ate at Mi-Va-Mi, another popular spot, simply because it was the only one open during our visit.

Juliet’s separation and subsequent divorce from her husband are told with real warmth and I was left wishing that all relationships could end so beautifully. Alas, that is but a dream. As she arrives in Paris, Juliet is enchanted by the bijou apartment that she has rented and gets a real feel for life as an artist. As her memories from her earlier visit return, it’s not easy to understand why she ever left her original life behind. Of course, as we follow her experiences reuniting with former friends, we learn more about her reasons for leaving. The storyline of this book was wonderful, I loved meeting Juliet who was this beautiful strong lady about to embark on her own journey of self discovery. After her 25 year marriage ended she decided to give herself some time to discover who she is now and who she wants to be. She had a couple of moments where she doubted her and Stewart’s decision to separate but deep down she knew they had done the right thing for both of them. She was so excited to be going to Paris for thirty days, a place where she spent time as an Au Pair when she was much younger and where she left the love of her life. Yes, the Eiffel Tower is super touristy but a visit to Paris would not be complete without a view from the tower, especially if this is your first time in Paris.I thoroughly enjoyed Juliet’s friendship with both Nathalie and Olivier. There’s something quite wonderful about friendships that endure the pressures of time. To return to an earlier feeling of love and familiarity with no more than a slight hiccup in connection is a very special thing. In particular, I would love to grab a table at The Girl Who Cried Champagne and sample the mouth-watering food that is described there. Hours: April 1 to September 30: 10 am to 11 pm; October 1 to March 31: 10 am to 10:30 pm; get updated hours here.

Ideally, plan on spending at least three days in Paris. This gives you just enough time to visit the highlights, explore a few neighborhoods, and dine at a few restaurants. If you have three days, take a look at our 3 Day Paris Itinerary. I will admit it, I am not an art museum lover. But I do love Musée d’Orsay. This museum is simply fabulous. If you arrive here at 2 pm, you have 4 hours to tour the museum, more than enough time to really enjoy the main exhibits. If you are an art lover, take several hours and enjoy this spectacular place. However, if you just want to visit the highlights, you can do so in about an hour. Getting Here: From Musée d’Orsay, cross the Seine River to the Tuileries Garden. Musée de l’Orangerie is located on the southwest corner of Tuileries Garden, just a 10 minute walk from Musée d’Orsay. You may also hear about something called the Paris Pass. The 4-day pass includes the Museum Pass but this costs €199. It includes many attractions and tours, most of which are not listed on our itinerary.Wow, wow, WOW. Her best and most perfect book yet. I adored every word. Sublime, as always' JILL MANSELL The Catacombs can have one of the longest lines in all of Paris. Waiting times can be as long as 3 hours. Only 200 people are permitted in the Catacombs at one time, so the line moves very slowly. In general, spring and fall are the best times of the year to visit Paris. During this time, the weather is great for sightseeing and crowds tend to be lower than the busy summer months. But here is a breakdown by season of what you can expect in Paris:
