About this deal

To make it worse, he mourned his loss by drowning himself in booze at a small bar on the wrong side of town, where the local bartender became his only friend. Morris Steele just wants his grandson to be more interested in family business - airplane manufacturing business - and marry a good girl. Of course Belle would be the ideal candidate. Thomas was a self-made billionaire, driven, ambitious, and determined to succeed beyond expectations. He lost his mother at an early age and endured his father's abuse for years. This all made him wary of making lasting connections, trusting in only himself.

The writing is so embarrassing and I was cringing every other line. Mia is some anime loving super geek and wow, we are really going to hear about it. Literally every time someone describes her, (and even just randomly) she'll be like, I'M A GEEK OKAY, LOOK AT ME. I PUT COLORED STREAKS IN MY HAIR, WEAR KPOP TSHIRTS, AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES!! Also, really thanks SO MUCH for that nasty ass scene where they dress up as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask to screw. I'm calling the police on them for ruining my childhood with their random fetish (they didn't have to wait until they were in Tokyo for that but okay.) From the moment she discovers Indigo Pointe she is intrigued and knows this is the planation that her Opa remembers. Surely she will be able to find all the answers to her questions. But her hope diminishes slightly when she discovers the handsome stranger who came to her aide has a beastly side to him. Lexa lost her brother in the same accident and she too is having a hard time dealing with his death and the way her parents are dealing with Shawn's death. I couldn’t get into this, mostly because I didn’t really like the characters, but also because I feel like there were a lot of issues that were either too easily or never resolved.

This is supposed to be a beauty and the beast retelling but let me assure you - it is NOT. Our beauty is a girl named Mia who is a geek (pls don't worry if you forget this at first, she will remind you at least 60 times) who works at a company owned by a billionaire named Thomas. I think it's a company that works entirely on investments? Sounded too much like Christian Grey stuff (ofc this guy has mommy issues too) so it's just more of "buy things, make money weeeee". This story has a very warped sense of humor, especially in the early chapters, but then the two main characters start to get into each other, and the book becomes very romantic. It does give New Yorkers a bit of a attitude, and I don't know, from reading some of the stuff that appears to be every day type occurance, whether I would want to go to NYC.

As children and through their teen years, they formed a tight bond after the traumatic death of Knox's parents, but it always remained platonic. Now that they are adults, both are amazed and frightened of the deep connection as well as physical chemistry between them. I wonder if that was her,” I muse to myself out loud, and he stops with his mouth ajar. It’s not my intention to direct the question at Foster, but now that he’s shut up about my win, I figure it can’t hurt to ask. “Did you see her?” And of course the more he gets to know her, the more and the harder he falls for her. And Mia is also falling for Thomas. She sees beneath the cold harsh exterior and as he begins to open to her, she sees the lost, sad little boy underneath who was abused by his father.

Okay so, this is DEFINITELY a one-star book, but like Jaye said: it was hilarious and kinda fun to read.

He shakes his head and slaps my shoulder. “Are you outta your mind? Actually, don’t answer that. I’ll chalk up the question to winner’s blur. Isabelle? Hell no. You’d never find a woman like that in a place like this.” Beauty and the Billionaire has got to be one of the best stories I've read from Lauren Landish yet! It was a different read from what I've come to expect from her and I loved absolutely every minute of it. So, a brief recap: Knox left Isabelle behind until one night he sees her again and decides “she’s hot, gotta bang that”. Then, they reconnect, until Isabelle finds out that Knox’s grandfather agreed to stop pushing him to marry if he spent time with her over a holiday weekend. Understandably, she gets upset thinking he used her, but he gets furious at her for not believing he wanted to spend time with her. (Well, of course not. You dumped her like trash all those years ago and never gave her an explanation.) She calls and texts nonstop wanting to apologize to him, but he ignores her. Days later, he finally bothers to go after her. Why you ask? Because she’s pregnant from the one time they had protected sex. He shows up with a rose, tells her he’s there for her if she wants to keep it and all’s well again. Surprise pregnancy resulting in the re-connection of the H/h is not a favorite trope of mine, and I especially hated it in this book, because Knox had some serious groveling to do.

To be honest I am not real fan of instant love, but some how this author got me pass that… Maybe is was the fact that we had White night , or maybe cuz that there was some mystery throw into the mix , or maybe cuz there was some corporate drama or even the fact there was Lil family drama , but either I can honestly say once you get pass that instant love you’ll a very good read on your hands Lexa's family was broken since her brother's death in an accident. Her mother basically ignore her and her dad smothers her. Now her family is taking a step she disapproves of. They have decided to sue the family who involved in her brother's death even though there was a settlement. Lexa knows the case is unfair because there is no real evidence of wrong doing. She feels that the only remaining family member is suffering enough. When Aiden is brought into her ER , she is drawn to help him. And on my right in the red shorts, tipping the scales at two hundred and twelve pounds of pure pain-inflicting muscle... Knox ‘The Beast Prince’ Steele.”
