About this deal

The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad. [3] ibn al-Zubayr (d. 713). He wrote letters replying to inquiries of the Umayyad caliphs, Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and al-Walid I, involving questions about certain events that happened in the time of the Prophet. Since Abd al-Malik did not appreciate the maghāzī literature, these letters were not written in story form. He is not known to have written any books on the subject. [6] The present – Whenever we send salawat to the Prophet (S), the angels take our salaam, deliver it to him, and he responds to it right then and there! SubhanAllah, if one were to truly grasp the depth of this exchange, one would never feel lonely. What’s more, he promised that if he is to ever visit someone in their dream, it is not simply a dream but his true presence! The Seerah of the Prophet (S), or, his biography, has filled many volumes. The question is: how do we make that history accessible and interesting for children today? Shaykh Abdullah dedicated twelve years to this endeavor, and after numerous revisions, he produced the “Seerah Song”, which was ultimately sung by the renowned nasheed artist Zain Bhikha. This epic poem details the characteristics of Rasulullah (S) and is meant to inspire a deep love for him. A classic for the Seerah is: Ar-Raheeq al-Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar) by Shaykh Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarkpuri.

Study the Seerah to raise your hope and lift your Imaan. Studying the torture and turmoil that the companions and the prophet endured helps you during your times of trouble. It gives you hope that as long as you stay in the truth there’s always hope in the end. Understanding our relationship with the Prophet (S) in the past, present, and future: Shaykh Abdullah states that, if we truly internalize and understand the depth of the three tenses of our connection with the Prophet (S), we will naturally develop a deep love for the Messenger of Allah (S).So from this hadeeth of the Prophet (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) we learn that the Prophet (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) was not only the best man in his generation or the best prophet in his time, but also the best man and prophet to ever walk the face of this earth since Adam (Alayhis Salaam)'s setting foot on this earth to the Day of Judgment. The Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the life and times of the greatest human being who ever lived and walked on the face of this Earth, series is based on the lectures by Dr. Sh. Yasir Qadhi. Robinson, Chase F. (2003). Islamic Historiography. Cambridge University Press. p.39. ISBN 9780521629362. The Prophet (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) was no doubt the best human being to walk this earth. We learn this from the hadith of the Prophet (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) when he said, "I am the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgment and I am not being arrogant or boastful. On that day, I shall be holding the banner of praise and I do not say this to be boastful. And there is not a single prophet on that day from Adam until our times except that he will be under my banner and I do not say this out of arrogance. I will be the first person who will intercede and the first person's intercession that will be accepted by Allah. And I do not say this to be boastful" One of the most foundational concepts of parenting is that children learn by watching us. Parents are indeed the first and foremost role models for their children, and the way that we live our lives often models the kinds of lives our children will live, too.

Seerah (سيرة‎) is an Arabic word that means the ‘biography’ or ‘life story’ of a person in general. In the Islamic context, Seerah mainly refers to the biography of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. But the word Seerah is also used for the life journey of other people, like the Seerah of Sabaha (RA). Seerah is also pronounced as ‘Seerah’, ‘Sirah’, ‘Seerat’, or ‘Sirat’. Studying seerah assists us to realize and understand the meaning of the Holy Book of Allah. This in turn helps us Make the Quran a part of our daily life. A Mean to Understand the Quran: Seerah in and of itself is one of the greatest miracles of the Prophet (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam)Duha is the breaking of the light. It signifies a new day, and light is coming. Allah is telling him to be patient. What is going to happen is better than what you are having now. It is the beginning of the day. The dawn is coming, and the sun is rising.
